Be Renewed Like the Eagle

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 356 (23/12/2022)
Psalms 103:5 (AMPC) “Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]! “
The eagle has the longest lifespan among birds which is about 70 years. After midlife, its beak bends and develops weak talons and thick feathers making it difficult to fly as its wings become heavy. The eagle at this stage either looks forward to death or decides to go through the about 150-day process of renewal.
The process begins with the eagle flying to sit on its nest on a mountaintop. It knocks out its beak by hitting it on the rock then waits till a new one grows. Afterward, it pulls out its talons. When its new talons grow, it begins the process of plucking out its feathers and then waits until they grow. After these 5 months, the eagle takes its famous flight of rebirth with the fortitude to live another 30 years.
In like manner, when we depend upon the LORD, He will satisfy our mouth with good things and renew our youth like the eagles.
Here are three qualities we gain like a renewed eagle:
1. Strength
Isaiah 40:31 (NLT) “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
When we put our trust in the Lord, He renews our strength, making us strong in faith, energized for His work, and equipped to confront adversities. At eighty-five, Caleb took the mountain promised by the LORD because he was renewed in strength like a forty-year-old.
2. Ability to overcome
1 John 4:4 (NKJV) “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
In Christ, we have the ability to overcome Satan and his demons since He himself overcame through His finished work on Calvary’s cross. Besides, we can relinquish hurts, weaknesses and failures as we confront the future with Christ our hope of glory.
3. Soaring above our usual level
Genesis 26:13 (NKJV) “The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;”
After gathering all the strength from the LORD to overcome our challenges, we become ready to soar above our usual level like the eagle taking its maiden flight of rebirth. When we follow the LORD’s instructions like Isaac, we will move from our usual level until we become very prosperous in accordance with God’s plan for our lives.
Precious one, when you wait upon the LORD, He will renew your youth. You will be strengthened in Him, overcome your challenges, and soar above your usual level.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, renew my youth like that of the eagles, strengthen me, make me an overcomer and grant me the grace to soar higher, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Yearn to Know More

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 355 (22/12/2022)
2 Timothy 3:14 “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them”
Education has no end and one must constantly keep learning to achieve his or her goals in life. It’s not late to start now. The most important thing is the decision you make now to start learning and as you do, keep learning and don’t give up.
It is said that “the expert in anything was once a beginner.” You can start now in your business, education, career, ministry or even in your family life. Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to continue in the things which he had learned. As you begin learning, continue in them.
Here are three ways to yearn to know more:
1. Learn from others and put them into practice.
“Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and heard from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you.” – Philippians 4:9 (NLT)
One way to learn is from the people who have gone ahead of us. Learn from people and put whatever you learn into practice. It can be a business you want to start or a ministry or a new career you want to switch into. Learn from those who have gone ahead of you and put them into practice.
2. Allow God to lead you.
“Show me the path where I should walk, O Lord; point out the right road for me to follow.” – Psalms 25:4 (NLT)
God’s Spirit teaches us everything and whatever He teaches is true. God knows the best route to take. He also knows what we need to know and how to lead us to the knowledge we need, so allow God to point out the right road for you to follow as you keep learning.
3. Be hungry to know more.
“No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead” – Philippians 3:13 (NLT)
Don’t consider yourself to know everything there is to know yet. You must be hungry to know more without getting complacent. Aim high in your academics or whichever area you find yourself in and strive for the best. Strive to be among the top ten percent.
Precious one, keep learning and while at it, learn from others and put them into practice, allow God to point out the right road for you to follow and be hungry to know more as you keep learning to be among the best.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, let Your Holy Spirit teach me as I learn the things which will help me grow in life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pursue Good

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 354 (21/12/2021)
Amos 5:14 “Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.”
God wants us to experience true living in everything we do. But to experience this life in our businesses or ministry, He wants us to seek good and not evil. For it is in seeking good that “the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken”.
Jesus went about seeking and doing good everywhere He went, and we can equally do the same because we are His offspring. The good we do will live after us and the evil we do will also live after us, therefore seek good and not evil.
Here are three lessons about seeking good and not evil:
1. The light of God will shine upon us when we pursue good
“For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” – John 3:20
Evil people are lovers of darkness, seeking their own good at the expense of others. They do not want to come to the light because their deeds will be exposed. But once you seek good, the light and favour of God will shine upon your life.
2. We exercise our conscience to be void of offence when we pursue good
Acts 24:16 says that “And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.”
Seeking good and not evil makes you maintain a clear conscience towards God and man. It makes you prepare for the Lord’s appearance, thereby keeping your life in check.
3. You will dwell forevermore when we pursue good.
Psalms 37:27 says, “Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.”
God will firmly establish your feet in the land of the living and satisfy you with long life as you depart from evil and do good. Your name will also be remembered in your generation and even in the generations to come.
Precious one, seeking good and not evil will make God’s light shine upon you, you will be able to exercise your conscience void of offence before God and man and finally, you will dwell forevermore.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, let not good depart from my dwelling as I pursue good and not evil, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Take One Step at a Time

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 353 (20/12/2022)
Luke‬ ‭16‬:‭10‬ ‭(AMPC‬‬) “He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much, and he who is dishonest and unjust in a very little [thing] is dishonest and unjust also in much.”
‭‭
It has been said that Rome was not built in a day. Similarly, in an effort to achieve God’s plans, you must have the wisdom to see that over time small efforts can lead to great achievements.
In laying one brick at a time, you will eventually build a house. Learn to be patient with your growth, and God will reward you. Here are three reasons to take one step at a time:
1. There is a time and season for everything
We don’t reap in the same season that we sow. We must understand that every seed we have planted in the ground must be continually watered by our little efforts in order for the harvest to be bountiful. Ecclesiastes 3:2 (NKJV) tells us, “… A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted;”
2. God will reward your little efforts
Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:14 (NKJV) “If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.” As believers, we must know that the God we serve is One who will not suffer His children to labour in vain and He will reward our little efforts and diligence.
3. You are different and unique
Do not compare your efforts to those of others
The Parable of the Talents teaches us that, for everything we are entrusted with, we will give an account. Since everyone is entrusted with talents according to their ability, we must focus on our own efforts, instead of comparing ourselves with others.
Precious one, there are different seasons before you get to harvest. Continue to make small efforts, knowing that, with patience, they will lead to significant outcomes.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach me to take one step at a time so that Your blessings would manifest in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Excel In Your Work

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 352 (19/12/2022)
Proverbs 22:29 (NKJV) “Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.”
Excelling in your work is not easy; it requires great effort. It’s challenging. It’s uncomfortable. We encounter obstacles, both expected and unexpected. It takes pushing, often beyond our sense of ability. But in the end, it’s undoubtedly worth it. Working hard to excel is painfully difficult, but exceedingly rewarding. Here are three reasons why you must excel in your work:
1. Excelling in your work is God’s Idea
From the very beginning, God created us to work hard and be fruitful. “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion . . .” (Genesis 1:28). God designed us to move and be active, to exert energy and employ skill to produce goods for human flourishing. God wants you to be fruitful in everything you do.
2. Your success is for His glory
The Bible beseeches us in 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV), “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
The world is watching us around the clock. As believers, our victories and successes gives glory to God. If success for God’s glory is our goal, we would do all things properly and in love.
3. God blesses excellence
If you desire to succeed in whatever God has called you to do, you must understand that God blesses hard work and excellence. God does not bless idleness or laziness; He rather blesses us when we excel at what we do.
The Bible says in Proverbs 12:24 (NKJV), “The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labour.”
Do your part by excelling at what you do and God will bless your efforts.
Precious one, excellence and success in life are possible and are God’s will for us. However, it requires hard work. Therefore, don’t be idle or lazy, and God will bless your hard work.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to be a hard-working person in my field of endeavour in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Imitate Our Lord Jesus

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 352 (18/12/2022)
1 John 1:6 “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:”
God created man in His image and likeness and gave him dominion over all the earth. From today’s reading the Bible tells us we say that we say we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie. It is expected of us to live a Christ-like life. Here are some of the Christ-like qualities we ought to portray :
1. Live in humility
The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4: 2 (NIV) “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love” To be humble is not being full of yourself knowing you are nothing without Christ. To live like Christ we must be humble.
2. Live a gentle life
The life of Jesus is the epitome of gentleness. Jesus said, “I am gentle and lowly in heart” (Matthew 11:29). As followers of Jesus, it is expected of us to live a gentle life. Titus 3:2 (ESV) admonishes us to “…speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.” Our gentleness will distinguish us and make us great.
3. Be full of Faith
One of the most glaring attributes of a Christ-like life is one full of faith. Even Jesus had complete faith in the Father and depended on Him to deliver the kind of ministry He delivered. As His followers, we must continue in faith. The Bible says in Colossians 1:23 “If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel…” As we express our faith in Christ to others, we give others an opportunity to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Precious one, let us be completely humble and gentle in everything we do, and live a life full of faith like Jesus did.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I live a Christ-like life make me a sign and a wonder to the world in Jesus’ name Amen.

Go For It!

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 351 (17/12/2022)
Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ ‭(NIV‬‬) “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
‭‭
Whatever we need in this life is provided for us by God, and is ours. Nevertheless, we need to take steps to walk in them.
The attitude of going for what is ours and taking it by force is most of the time necessary for a victorious Christian life. From today’s reading, Apostle Paul tells us that we can do all things through the strength of Christ at work in us.
Here are three things to do to achieve what we want to achieve in life:
1. Don’t waver in faith
Our faith and strong convictions in God help us keep our eyes on the target. Apostle Paul tells us in Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV) “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
2. Accept nothing but God’s best
In taking steps to achieve our God-given dreams, we need to accept nothing but God’s best. For instance, when blind Bartimaeus called out to Jesus for his healing, he could have accepted the opening of one of his eyes. However, since he knew Jesus was able to give him his sight fully, he was expecting nothing less (Mark 10:46-52, NKJV). Don’t settle for just some miracle; go for God’s best.
3. Have tenacity
Tenacity is the willingness to fight to the end. The Bible says in Hebrews 10:35-36 (NKJV), “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you need endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise”. To take steps to achieve your dreams in life, you must also be willing to stand and fight hard as long as it takes.
Precious one, we must step out in confidence and possess our possessions through our tenacity, keeping a strong belief and going for God’s best.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to apply the necessary pressure to take my place in life in Jesus’ name.

Don’t Let Your Light Go Out

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 350 (16/12/2022)
Matthew 5:16 (NKJV) “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
There is a lightbulb in Livermore, California that has burned almost continuously since 1901.
The Livermore Power and Light Company gave the bulb to the Livermore Volunteer Fire Department over a century ago and it has been burning ever since with a few short interruptions. It has not been turned off since 1976.
Just as the Livermore bulb has burned faithfully, the Christian’s light should never go out because the world is watching us around the clock
From today’s reading, Jesus tells us to let our light continually shine before men so that they may see our good works and glorify our Heavenly Father.
Here are three ways to keep our lights continually burning like the lightbulb in Livermore:
1. Stay connected to the power source
When we conform to the world we disconnect ourselves from the source of our light.
Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 12:2 (NKJV), “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” One basic way to let our lights shine is by staying on the old-time Bible-based course, and not conforming to the new normal, that is, the darkness in this world.
2. Seek to glorify God in whatever you do
Purpose in your heart to glorify God in all your deeds because the world is watching us around the clock. The Bible beseeches us in 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV), “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” As believers, it is expedient for us to glorify God in our thoughts, words, and actions. If the glory of God is our goal, we would do all things properly and in love.
3. Follow Jesus and don’t turn back
Another way to keep our light shining before men continually is by following Jesus who is the light of the world. The Bible says in John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
The people in the darkness of the world would see the great light in us when we keep following Christ.
Precious one, the world is full of darkness and count on the light of God in you. Therefore, don’t conform to this world, but purpose in your heart to glorify God at all times, and keep Following Jesus who is the light of the world.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, let nothing cover Your light in me; and as I shine my light before men in all my deeds, may Your name be glorified in Jesus’ name. Amen

Run the Race with Purpose

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 349 (15/12/2022)
Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
There is a day of accountability and reward that each of us will meet at the finish line of our life on earth. We must all therefore press forward to reach the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Whether we are aware of it or not, we are already in the race and we must examine ourselves whether we are standing or walking or jogging or running the race according to the rules of the race.
Apostle Paul says “Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. You also must run in such a way that you will win.” Therefore, let the Word of God be your training guide and run with purpose so as to win the prize.
Here are three ways to run for the prize:
1. Look unto Jesus.
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” – Hebrews 12:2
Jesus Christ—the author and finisher of our faith—left us His example. To endure the shame and pain of the cross, He focused on the glory at the end of His mission and pressed on. As we look to Jesus, we receive grace to follow His example.
2. Lay aside every weight and sin.
“Wherefore…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” – Hebrews 12:1
As we pursue our Christian faith in preparation to meet the Lord, we must lay aside those sins and weights that will disqualify us from receiving our rewards. The Word of God reveals things to avoid in order to run well for the prize.
3. Forget what is behind.
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead” – Philippians 3:13 (NKJV)
Whether you failed or succeeded in the past, leave the past alone and press forward. Tomorrow has hope and opportunities for new and greater victories. Learn from your past and move forward because better is the end than the beginning.
Precious one, there are rewards waiting for us at the end of our Christian race; lay aside every weight, leave your past behind and look unto Jesus, the rewarder of our faith.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to run the Christian race in a way that I will obtain the Lord’s reward, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Seek to Be Fruitful

Seek to Be Fruitful
By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 348 (14/12/2022)
John 15:2 “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.”
God despises fruitlessness, but expects fruitfulness from us as believers.
Fruitfulness means the ability to accomplish as much as possible with the resources God gives. From today’s reading, Jesus
tells us what He would do to the branch that does not bear fruit and the one that does.
God desires that we bear fruit; so, here are three ways to bear fruit:
1. Make God your Vinedresser
To be fruitful we have to make God our Vinedresser. He takes care of us, leads us, and even prunes us, so that in time we will be more fruitful. When God prunes us, He takes things out of our lives that we sometimes really like but that are not fit to remain with us.
2. Live in the right environment
A conducive environment is an important part of a plant’s ability to bear fruit. If we are going to be fruit-bearing Christians we have to be in the right environment. The Bible says in Psalm 1:1,3 (ESV), “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”
3.Have perseverance and endurance
Perseverance is a key quality of fruitful plants. A plant has to be able to withstand harsh weather conditions to be able to bear fruit. Our fruitfulness goes hand in hand with our endurance. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:3 (ESV), “Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.” This means, we need to press on in the midst of the difficult and troubling times without giving up.
Precious one, fruitfulness is required of us as believers; therefore, make God your Gardener, live in the right environment, and persevere, and you will surely bear fruit.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I yield myself into Your careful and capable hands, help me to bear much fruit, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Have Faith For the Impossible

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 347 (13/12/2022)
Mark 11:23 (ESV) “Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.”
Faith is not based on what we have in our bank accounts but on what is in the treasuries of God to deliver the impossible. Another way to put it is, where there is faith there is a possibility. It is possible to do things beyond our human capacities by faith. Faith draws on God’s power to deliver on God’s promises.
As believers, we need faith to succeed in our walk with God. Here are three ways to build your faith :
1.Spend as much time as you can with people of faith
The Bible says in Proverbs 13: 20, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise…” In the same way, he that walks with people of faith will also be filled with faith. The spirit of faith in them will rub off on your life when you do. A company of faithless men will corrode your faith, so spend as much time as you can with men of faith.
2.Keep a holy heart
The Bible admonishes us in Hebrews 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord”. Apostle Paul further tells us, “It is with the heart that man believes” (Romans 10:10). If a sinful heart obscures our spiritual perception of the Lord, then our believing will also be affected.
3.Walk in love
Remember that faith works by love. Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5:6 (ESV), “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.” Therefore, walk in love.
Precious one, if only we can have faith, no mountain would be immovable to us. Therefore, walk in love, spend time with people of faith, and keep a holy heart to build your faith.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I build my faith in You, cause me to move every mountain in my life in Jesus’ name, amen.

Eschew Dishonesty

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 346 (12/12/2022)
Proverbs 10:2 (NIV) “Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value, but righteousness delivers from death.”
How common is employee dishonesty? According to one recent survey: Falsifying time sheets was admitted by 5.8% of workers. Stealing merchandise was admitted by 6.6%. Among people working in retail stores, 57% said they abused their employee-discount privileges.
Dishonesty is the opposite of integrity. The problem of employees wanting to make money by fraudulent means at the workplace has been the bane of many economies in the world, especially in Africa. Many governments are grappling with corruption, cyber crimes, robbery, and other vices because of greed and the desire for quick money. The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:11; (NLT) “Like a partridge that hatches eggs she has not laid, so are those who get their wealth by unjust means. At midlife they will lose their riches; in the end, they will become poor old fools.”
Here are three reasons to eschew dishonesty in the workplace:
1. Dishonesty can not be covered
People who engage in dishonest gains at work only jeopardize their future.
“People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed.” – Proverbs 10:9 (NLT)
Many people who use evil and crooked ways to make money know the implications of their actions when caught, but they believe they are smart enough to avoid being caught. But it’s a sure way to endanger your future because sooner or later, you will be exposed.
2. Dishonesty would eventually bite you back
Do you want to bite the same arm that feeds you? Why engage in dishonest gains in the company from where you make ends meats?
“Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.” – Proverbs 13:11 (NIV)
Dishonesty in the workplace includes employee theft, submitting incorrect receipts, time sheets, and invoices, and lying to managers and co-workers. These ultimately reduce revenue and may eventually ruin the business which has employed you.
3. Dishonesty brings shame to one’s family.
“The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live.” – Proverbs 15:27 (NIV)
Those who indulge in corruption are not the only people who suffer when exposed. The reputation of everybody in the family is ruined. And it is hard to recover from a ruined reputation.
Precious one, because of the ill effects of dishonesty on our lives and that of others, let honesty be your guiding principle, especially in the workplace.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I receive grace to maintain honesty and integrity in my life, precisely at my workplace in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Continue to Live in Him

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 345 (11/12/2022)
Colossians 2:6 (NIV) “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him”
When we give our lives to the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we must also continue to live in Him in order to experience the fullness of His blessings and goodness.
To live in Christ means to recognize His lordship in all areas of our lives, and to live a life consistent with His Word. But we cannot truly live in Him without the ability and power of His Holy Spirit which He gives to us. Therefore, in order to continue to live in Christ, we must ask the Holy Spirit to continually help us.
Here are three things to ask the Holy Spirit to do to help you continue living in the Lord:
1. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you pray.
Without prayer we cannot maintain a lively and fervent relationship with God. It is only the Holy Spirit who can help us engage in true prayer that connects with God to produce real Christian life. Always ask Him to help you because the Bible says, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought…” (Romans 8:26)
2. Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and revelation in the Word.
Without the Holy Spirit giving you wisdom and revelation into the Scriptures, you will be frustrated in your attempt to know more of God and to walk with Him. So ask the Holy Spirit to help, because He is the Spirit of wisdom and revelation who will enlighten the eyes of your understanding in the knowledge of Christ (Ephesians 1:15-18)
3. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you walk in love.
God is love; therefore walking in love is continuing in the Lord. Both the Scriptures and our practical experience attest to the fact that there is usually a conflict between our flesh and the nature of God in us (Galatians 5:17). Therefore, we must always rely on the Holy Spirit who sheds the love of God abroad our hearts (Romans 5:5).
Precious one, continue to live in the Lord Jesus Christ by relying on the Holy Spirit to pray, to understand the Scriptures and to walk in love.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I receive the ability and grace to continue living in You by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Leap Over That Wall

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 344 (10/12/2022)
Psalms ‭18‬:‭29‬ “For by thee I have run through a troop, and by my God have I leaped over a wall.”
‭‭‬‬
David recounts how he surmounted the obstacles he encountered and didn’t give up. But with God’s help and guidance he came out victorious. As believers, we are bound to have obstacles in life but we must press on and not give up, knowing that God, our help, will see us through.
Whatever wall you find yourself facing right now, don’t give up, press on and with the help of God, you will leap over it!
To be successful requires the ability to persevere, to be unrelenting in efforts to attain your goals, and to be unflinching in your determination to make it. Simply put, successful people do not give up.
Although the temptation to give up may be strong, overcoming it is remarkably rewarding.
Here are three reasons why we shouldn’t give up:
1. Perseverance is a requirement for success.
Success does not come without setbacks. Since you have been forewarned about the trials you will go through, you need not panic when they come to pass. James 1:2-3 (NIV) says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
2. God does not delight in those who give up
The Bible says, “And Jesus said unto him, no man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62). God doesn’t take pleasure in people who start a project and yet do not see it through because of challenges. Giving up indicates a lack of faith.
3. Because of the success of others
Scripture makes it clear that God blesses us not only for our material gain and comfort but that we may be channels of blessing to others as well. There may be jobless people whose employment is linked to our success story. In giving up, we let them down as well. “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing” (Genesis 12:2).
Precious one, don’t stay behind the walls of life, gather strength to leap over them again and again. The various trials may not bring success, but keep trying until victory comes.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to persevere and not give up in these times in Jesus’s Name.

Follow God’s example

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 343 (09/12/2022)
Ephesians 5:1 (NKJV) “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.”
God created man in His image and likeness and gave him dominion over all the earth. After the fall, the ability of man to exercise dominion and to exhibit godly character in practical ways was hampered. However, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ restored man in glory and authority to exercise dominion in the earth again.
A born-again believer has the nature of God—His life, righteousness, love and power. That is why in the opening scripture, Apostle Paul exhorts believers to imitate God, because we have the capacity to do so.
Here are three ways to follow God’s example:
1. In our passion for lost humanity.
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
In the same way God sacrificed His only begotten Son for the salvation of lost humanity, we should sacrifice all we can to be channels for the salvation of souls. We should sacrifice our time for personal evangelism, and money for crusades and kingdom projects.
2. In walking in love toward the brethren.
“And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance. [Ezek. 20:41.]” – Ephesians 5:2 (AMPC)
We are commanded to love others just as Christ loved us to the cross. We are expected to imitate this demonstration of love towards all men. As we do, God’s love is practically expressed through our love for one another as believers.
3. In holiness.
“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” – 1 Peter 1:15-16
We are to imitate God in holiness. When we got born again, we became dead to sin. The righteous nature of God which has been imparted to us and the Holy Spirit in us should enable us to live holy consecrated lives unto God as is fitting and proper among saints.
Precious one, let us heed the admonition of Paul to imitate our Heavenly Father. We can do that by having a passion for souls, loving one another and being holy.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I receive grace, by the power of Your Spirit in me, to live out the fullness of Your nature in me in all that I do, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Build on a Strong Foundation

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 342 (08/12/2022)
1 Corinthians 3:11 (NKJV) “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
The height of many high-rise buildings fascinates lots of people. However, the engineering work that goes on underground and out of sight is the real point of fascination. Below each high-rise building needs to be a foundation that’s strong enough to support it.
Likewise, Jesus Christ is the foundation strong enough to support a meaningful and fruitful life that pleases God here on earth and beyond.
Here are three things to do in order to build on a strong foundation:
1. Come to Jesus and remain in Him.
Luke 6:47-48 (NKJV) “Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock…”
Listening to Jesus and obeying Him is choosing to lay our foundation on a “Solid Rock”. It begins by accepting Him through believing and confessing His death and resurrection. Also, we must remain in Him by keeping His command or willingly come back to Him when we mistakenly drift away.
2. Know the fundamental doctrines of the faith.
Hebrews 6:1-2 (NKJV) “Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.”
Until we understand and are fully persuaded by the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith, it will be difficult to grow up. We escape the traps of deception when we grow up in the faith and are able to help others also come to maturity.
3. Repair faulty foundations
Jeremiah 1:9-10 (NKJV) “Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth…To build and to plant.””
Though we have a solid foundation in Christ yet our backgrounds may have foundation issues we must deal with. For instance, Moses a descendant of Levi never dealt with the foundation of anger planted by Levi even though he had a close relationship with God. Unfortunately, out of anger He disobeyed God by striking the rock instead of speaking to it hence missing the promised land. Armed with the truth of God’s word we must set ourselves free from faulty family foundations by prayer.
Precious one, build on a strong foundation by coming to Jesus and remaining in Him. Be grounded in the fundamental principles of the faith and repair broken down foundations.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me identify and deal with any faulty foundation in my family line, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Remember The Needy

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 341 (07/12/2022)
Luke 14:13 (ESV) “But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind”
We are in the season of giving and we cannot truly celebrate without the spirit of giving. We celebrate this season because the whole world received of God’s abundant generosity and great love as He gave to us His only begotten Son. Thus, it is only right to celebrate Christmas in the spirit of giving.
If you have never been generous to feed the poor in any Christmas season before, then let this period be a time you blessed somebody however you can. You may throw a party or you may just give to one or two people as the Lord has blessed you.
Here are three reasons to celebrate with the needy this season:
1. You are doing it towards God.
Matthew 25:40 (NLT) says, “And the King will tell them, ‘I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'”
As surely as we live as believers, we must remember to extend our kind gestures to those in need during this Christmas season and as you do so, it will be an act of kindness towards God.
2. Generous hands are blessed hands.
Proverbs 22:9 (MSG) also says that “Generous hands are blessed hands because they give bread to the poor.”
Anyone who gives generously to the poor or needy will never experience lack but will enjoy more blessings in what he does. And so take advantage of the season and show some kindness to somebody.
3. To show true love to the needy.
1 Corinthians 13:3 (NKJV) says, “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.”
Whatever we do as believers must be done in love. Don’t help the needy as an obligation to execute but express love and compassion through your giving just as God gave His Son because He so loved the world. Let your actions be born out of love for God and the brethren.
Precious one, generous hands are blessed hands so as you celebrate this season, show true love to the needy and know that as you do it, you are doing it to God.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, let my hands be blessed so I can be a blessing to the needy this festive season, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Consider Others

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 340 (06/12/2022)
Philippians 2:4 (NLT) “Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.”
Some people are natural caregivers and are always seen taking the burden of others. Others, however, need to develop this character as a component of the fruit of the Spirit. Scripture says in 1 Thessalonians 3:12, “May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.” When we take a genuine interest in others, we find ourselves solving the problems of others by being that listening ear, supporting shoulder, and helping hand. The New Testament recounts the story of power and glory in the Book of Acts and how no one was needy in the Early Church because they considered others.
Here are three ways to develop interest in others:
1. Learn to call people by their names. Dale Carnegie explains it best when he says, “A person’s name is to him or her the sweetest and most important sound in any language.” It is the one way we can easily get someone’s attention. It is a sign of courtesy and a way of recognizing them. When someone remembers our name after meeting us, we feel respected and more important.
2. Find out the dream of others.
As an employer, there is a possibility of you getting fixated on the responsibilities of your workers that you can easily forget they have a life outside work. Ask about what their dreams, plans and aspirations are. Your employees dedicate about 10 hours of their lives to you daily. Asking about their personal lives will go a long way to affirm that you don’t just see them as a means to make money but as a family.
3. Through your communication skills
Learn to show interest in others through your communication skills. Become good at making small talk. Listen and be interested in what people say while talking to you. Asking questions helps. After all, people are excited when you ask for their opinion. Talk about the things that interest them.
Precious one, we can make the world a better place if we start talking to each other instead of talking behind each other. Decide in your heart to develop a genuine interest in the lives of others and not just see them as a means to an end.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to grow in love for the people around me. Teach me to bear with them in their difficult times in Jesus’ name, Amen.

You Lack One Thing

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 339 ( 05/12/2022)
Mark 10:21 (NKJV) “Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”
Many people believe that someone like the rich young ruler would have been a great addition to God’s kingdom because His youth, wealth, and status could have been very influential. But when the rich young ruler asked Jesus how he could have eternal life, Jesus gave him the shock of his life, an answer that grieved him to the bone, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor…”
In the scripture above, Jesus helped the rich young ruler identify his lack of love and devotion to God. As believers, God expects us to relinquish whatever we worship if we are going to be effective followers of Him.
Here are three ways to keep your love for Jesus as a top priority:
1. Identify and confess your sins
Mark 10: 22 (AMP) “But the man was saddened at Jesus’ words, and he left grieving, because he owned much property and had many possessions [which he treasured more than his relationship with God].”
Outwardly, our relationship with God may seem perfect like the rich young ruler’s. Nonetheless, when we ask God about our true spiritual state, He will reveal to us the true condition of our hearts. Unlike the rich young ruler, we have the opportunity to accept our wrongs and straighten up things with Jesus through repentance.
2. Do away with the competition
Luke 19:8 (NKJV) “Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”
Zacchaeus upon encountering Jesus, freely gave up half of his wealth to the poor. He understood the principle of serving only one master, thereby doing away with the competing force of money. Similarly, we must give up everything that competes with God in our lives.
3. Live for Jesus
2 Corinthians 5:15 (NLT) “He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.”
Jesus expressed His love for us through His death and resurrection. Likewise, we expressed our love for Him by receiving His new life and making a conscious decision to live for Him. Living for Jesus simply has to do with obeying His commands.
Precious one, identify and repent of everything that competes with your love for God, do away with them and live for Jesus.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, search my heart and reveal to me anything that competes with my love for You and teach me to overcome it, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Mount Up A Strong Defence

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 338 ( 04/12/2022)
Revelation 3:11 (MSG) “I’m on my way; I’ll be there soon. Keep a tight grip on what you have so no one distracts you and steals your crown.”
We are running the race of life which involves an adversary who is ferocious to oppose us every step of the way. Satan will do everything he can to attack believers and unbelievers alike in order to steal, kill and destroy. It is our duty to mount up a strong and impenetrable defence in order to hold him back.
In mounting up a strong defence, Jesus brings to our attention in the opening scripture that there is a crown or reward at stake. The crown already belongs to us but if we fail to put up a good defence, it will be taken or stolen from us.
Here are three things to do to put up a strong defence:
1. Be alert.
1 Peter 5:8 (NIV) “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
We need to be alert if we are going to successfully stop the furious and advancing adversary. This means we must be aware of the enemy’s operational tactics. We must also be spiritually sensitive to anticipate the enemy’s move and not be distracted. We can sharpen our alertness through Bible admonitions and through the life stories of Bible characters in order to mount up a proper defence against the enemy.
2. Be sober.
1 Peter 5:8 (NIV) “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
We must also always be sober and not allow setbacks and disappointments to overwhelm and discourage us. We must not allow the devil to use problems to steal our joy and hope; when we lose our joy and hope, we lose strength to fight back and persevere. Therefore, be sober and protect your joy and hope.
3. Resist actively.
1 Peter 5:9 (NIV) “Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”
A strong defence involves active and consistent resistance to the devil’s pressure attacks. The Scripture admonishes us to resist the enemy with our faith. With our shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, we must resist and fight back such that we will give no place to the devil in our lives.
Precious one, don’t lose guard in safeguarding your life, your blessings and your faith in the Lord. Stay alert, be sober and resist the enemy steadfastly so that you will win the crown and advance to the next level.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I receive grace and wisdom to be able to mount up a strong defence against the adversary, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Stand Firm And Quit Not

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 337 ( 03/12/2022)
Romans 12:12 (MSG) “Be cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder.”
Hard and difficult times are part of life. Without them, our lives cannot be refined like pure gold. The Bible tells us to be “patient in tribulation” or as the opening scripture renders it, “don’t quit in hard times”. God knows we will encounter difficulties and challenging moments, so He has given us His Word in advance to prepare and fortify us through these times.
Here are three things to do in difficult times:
1. Trust in God as your refuge.
Psalms 9:9-10 says, “The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”
Look to God when you go through hard times. As believers we know God is our refuge in times of trouble and difficulty. Thus, we must place our trust in God’s Word which says, “the name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.”
2. Know that glory is assured at the end.
Romans 8:18 (NLT) says, “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later.”
The hard times you go through now are obviously storing up glory for you at the end. In His messages to the churches, Jesus showed that there were glorious rewards awaiting those who would overcome. And so do not faint or give up, hold on steadfast and God will glorify and exalt you with victories in due time.
3. Don’t entertain doubtful thoughts.
Mark 5:35-36(MSG) “While he was still talking, some people came from the leader’s house and told him, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?” Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, “Don’t listen to them; just trust me.”
Sometimes, when waiting on the Lord it seems things get worse before they get better. In such times, doubtful thoughts will arise but don’t entertain them. Drive them out by confessing the promises of God. And as you continue to stand, things will turn around for your good.
Precious one, don’t quit in hard times; just trust in God and refuse to entertain doubtful thoughts and you will see the glory of God in your life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I receive the grace to persevere till I see Your glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Why Worry?

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 336 (02/12/2022)
Matthew 6:27-28 “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:”
A woman who had lived long enough to have learned some important truths about life remarked, “I’ve had a lot of trouble — most of which never happened!” She had worried about many things that had never occurred, and had come to see the total futility of her worries and anxieties.
In our world today, if you look around you will find plenty of reasons to worry. But worrying never gets any of them solved. As believers, God expects us to live a care-free life by casting our cares on Him.
Here are there reasons why we should not worry:
1. Worry is unnecessary
It extracts interest on trouble before it comes and oftentimes never does. Jesus pointed out in Matthew 6:27, worrying cannot add an inch to a person’s height. Therefore, it is unnecessary.
2. Worry is unnatural
Birds don’t sow, reap, or store food away, and yet God still provides for them. There’s only one group in all of God’s creation that worries: human beings. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:26 (NKJV), ““Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
3. Worry is unhelpful
Worry constantly drains the energy God gives us to face daily problems and to fulfill our many responsibilities . Worry doesn’t change a thing. Matthew 6:27 (NIV) says, “Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
When you worry about a problem it doesn’t bring you one inch closer to the solution. Worry doesn’t change anything except you. Worry makes you miserable.
Precious one, stop worrying and start praying. Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to break free from the habit of worrying and stir up the spirit of prayer in me in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Walk in Courage

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 335 (01/12/2022)
Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
One of the cardinal attitudinal indicators of character is courage. It is at the heart of God. If we are to succeed in life, it is vital that we pursue courage. Courage means “the quality of mind that enables one to face up to danger or hardship resolutely”.
The essence of building courage is to enhance your capacity to handle or undertake assignments that have inherent difficulties and challenges and still overcome them in the end. Since you need to take risks in this life, the way to the top is not for the feeble-minded or those with cold feet. You must possess and exhibit an inner fortitude to get what is meant to be yours.
You can become a person of courage in the following ways:
1. From the Spirit of God
“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man” (Ephesians 3:16). The Holy Spirit can give you strength in your inner being to take bold and courageous decisions that will move you forward towards your greater purpose in this life.
2. From the knowledge of God
“ And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32). If you know God, you are always filled with strength. Remember that greater is He who is in you, than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
3. By praying in the Holy Spirit
“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 20). You build inner confidence and courage when you pray in the Spirit because you are praying according to God’s mindset.
Precious one, resolve to build and walk in courage in your life if you want to succeed.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, strengthen me with might and courage in my inner man as we enter the last month of the year in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Recognize Your Blessings And Be Thankful

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 334 (30/11/2022)
Luke 17:18 (AMP) “Was there no one found to return and to give thanks and praise to God, except this foreigner?”
God desires and expects to receive our thanksgiving. We see from the opening scripture that Jesus noticed the absence of the others who did not return to thank Him for what He had done for them.
The Samaritans were a mixed race of Jews who were considered strangers and despised by most true Jews. Yet it seemed that God’s own people didn’t know how to give thanks, maybe because they took God’s blessings for granted. We must therefore learn to recognize our blessings and be thankful.
Here are three things we can learn from the grateful Samaritan:
1. He prayed unto the Lord.
Luke 17:13 (NKJV) “And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
This man was part of the group of lepers who lifted up their voices unto Jesus when He passed their way. Even though his situation made him an outcast, he did not give up. He called on the Lord for mercy. Likewise, we must call on the Lord to come to our aid through prayer.
2. He obeyed divine instruction.
Luke 17:14 (NKJV) “So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.”
After they prayed to Jesus, He instructed them to go and show themselves to the priest. Like the others, as he obeyed Jesus’ instruction, his miracle broke forth. There are conditions that accompany the fulfilment of the promises of God, and as we obey and act on the Rhema word or divine instruction, our miracle will break forth.
3. He showed gratitude to the Lord.
Luke 17:15-16 (NKJV) “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.”
When the Samaritan realized that he was healed, he turned back to say thank you before continuing his journey to the priest. He didn’t want to miss the opportunity to thank Jesus. His act of thanksgiving set him apart from the others. We also must recognize every blessing in our lives and not fail to thank God for each one of them. When we do that, we will experience bigger miracles in our lives.
Precious one, your attitude of gratitude will lift you to a higher altitude. Continue in prayer to the Lord, obey His instructions and never cease to express your gratitude to Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You for all You’ve done for me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Don’t Just Wish, Make a Move

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 333 (29/11/2022)
Philippians 2:13 “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Are you waiting on God? You may be surprised to find God is the one waiting on you to make a move. Each day is a new opportunity for God-given success. God really wants you to experience His blessings because when you look good, He looks good.
So many people are missing great opportunities to accomplish something great because they’re waiting for the perfect time to step out. Those who are laid back and waiting for perfect conditions before pursuing their dreams will very likely be waiting for a long time. Don’t wait till all the odds are in your favour. The time to make a move is now.
Here are three things to help you make that move:
1. Rely on God’s grace.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Whatever your dreams are, know that God’s grace is always available and sufficient to help you accomplish it. When you feel overwhelmed and discouraged in the pursuit of your aspirations, remember that God’s sufficient grace does not run out.
2. Draw strength from the Lord.
Habakkuk 3:19 (AMP) says, “The Lord GOD is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet and makes me walk…on my high places [of challenge and responsibility].”
It is possible to feel drained and to want to throw in the towel because of all the possible setbacks or challenges you may face in starting that project or writing that book but don’t give up. Strengthen yourself—your mind and heart—in the promises of God, and take the courage to make that move to pursue your dream.
3. Take action.
Exodus 14:15 “And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.”
It is not enough to just talk about your aspiration or dream about it or even cry about its difficulty. You have to act on it. When you make a move and put action behind your positive expectation, God meets you there and turns your hope into reality.
Precious one, remember that in order to pursue your destiny, it takes action fueled by God’s grace and strength to reach the destination of your God-given dreams. Therefore, rise up and make a move.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace and strength to take that leap that will move me closer to the fulfilment of my dreams, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Obtain a Good Report

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 332 (28/11/2022)
Hebrews 11:2 “For by it [faith] the elders obtained a good report.”
Martin Luther once said, “God our Father has made all things depend on faith so that whoever has faith will have everything, and whoever does not have faith will have nothing.”
Faith is necessary for our daily walk and triumphs over the storms and challenges of this life. The Bible declares that by faith, the elders of old were able to obtain a good report; that is, they were able to surmount and overcome the challenges and oppositions they were confronted with by faith.
A good report includes good health, ministerial expansion, financial and business increase, childbearing, deliverance, salvation, open doors, favour, and victory. Since faith helps to obtain a good report, let us look at three important compositions of our faith:
1. What we believe
The Bible says in Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Our faith begins where the will of God is known. That means the knowledge of God’s word is a prerequisite to having a buoyant faith. The faith of the believer is founded on the premise of God’s unadulterated, infallible, and inerrant word and not human philosophies, tales, folklores, and experiences.
2. What we say
The confession of the word releases our faith. Saying or speaking the right things is paramount because life and death are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18:21).
The right thing to say is the word of God. The right thing to declare and confess is God’s position on the matter. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:13, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.”
3. What we do
The confession of our faith must be commensurate with our walk of faith. A walk of faith is taking steps of faith. When Peter cast his net after receiving the words of Christ, it resulted in a bumper harvest (Luke 5:5). Abraham knew his wife Sarah, Isaac was born, and Naaman washed in the Jordan river and was cleansed from his leprosy. The demands of our faith must be backed by our actions. The Bible teaches us that faith without works is dead ( James 2:26).
Precious one, it is important we exercise our faith to obtain a good report by believing God’s word and confessing and walking by it. You will have a good report as you demonstrate your faith.

Take Charge And Stay Faithful

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 331 (27/11/2022)
Genesis 1:28 (NET) “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply! Fill the earth and subdue it! Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the ground.”
John Macarthur once said, “All Christians are but God’s stewards. Everything we have is on loan from the Lord, entrusted to us for a while to use in serving him.”
From today’s reading, we see that the concept of stewardship began with the creation of all things. After God created man and woman, He gave them the charge to take dominion over what He created.
The Bible is unequivocal about the fact that everything in the world, including our finances, belongs to God, and He has made us stewards of it. God expects us to be great stewards of what He has entrusted us with. Here are 3 essential characteristics of a good steward:
1. Stewards serve in obedience
We cannot hit the mark of true stewardship without obedience to our Master, Jesus. Without obedience to the instructions of the master, a steward would just do what he wants at the expense of the one who charged him with the stewardship in the first place. The Bible says in Colossians 3:23 (NKJV), “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,”
2. Stewards are faithful in little things
The Bible says in Luke 16:10 (NKJV), “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.” Interestingly, God is not requiring faithfulness in big things; He only wants us to be faithful in the little things, and He would promote us and entrust us with the big things in due time.
3. Stewards are diligent about avoiding waste
Even Jesus was quick to avoid waste when He fed 5000 people; He asked His disciples to gather the leftovers so that nothing would be lost (John 6:12)! One of the things that employers look out for in the managers they hire is how best they have utilised the company’s resources to achieve results. In the same way, God expects His stewards to avoid waste as much as possible.
Precious one, in our stewardship, let us always remember to be faithful and obedient and avoid waste in what God has blessed us with, knowing that He alone is the Source, the Owner, and Giver of it all.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me wisdom and direction to be a good and faithful manager of Your resources even in this time in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be Thankful to God

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 330 (26/11/2022)
Psalms 100:4 (NKJV) “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”
With technological advancements on the ascendency, having access to some apartments, office spaces or hotel rooms may require using a mobile application known as a mobile key.
Similarly, thanksgiving is the mobile key required to go through the gates of God into His courts. Without thanksgiving, you cannot gain access to God’s presence to praise and worship Him.
It is His will that we remain thankful for no matter the situation. Giving thanks or being thankful is also a command hence God is pleased when we obey this command. Take note, we don’t thank Him for the bad things we go through, but we thank Him in all things, whether good or bad since we trust in Him to make good out of all the situations we may find ourselves in.
Here are three practical ways you can give thanks to God:
1. Through songs of thanksgiving unto Him
1 Chronicles 16:8-9 (NKJV) “Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!”
We can convert our thanksgiving into songs and sing them unto the Lord. Singing unto the Lord in thanksgiving must be done in joyfulness and gladness. The lyrics of such songs must make known His deeds, extol His wondrous works and express our gratitude to Him.
2. By giving thanks to God always
Ephesians 5:20 (NKJV) “Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Thanksgiving must be done always and deliberately for all things. Every day, we must spend time in giving thanks to God for all the benefits that accrue to us. Moreover, we need to set aside days or services for thanksgiving unto the Lord, where all we do is give thanks to Him through all the appropriate means available, like singing and dancing.
3. Present gifts and offerings in thanksgiving
Leviticus 22:29 (NKJV) “And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, offer it of your own free will.”
We must set time aside to celebrate the Lord in thanksgiving. In such a season, we must bring gifts and offerings to the Lord. Our thanksgiving offering must not be ordinary, it must cost us. In giving thanks to Jesus, the sinful woman anointed Him with spikenard oil worth a year’s wages. Similarly, our thanksgiving offering must be something of great value.
Precious one, in this season, walk in perfect obedience by living a lifestyle of thanksgiving unto the Lord, thanking Him with songs as well as your gifts and offerings.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I give you thanks for all you’ve done for me this year, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Be Trained in Good Doctrine

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 329 (25/11/2022)
1 Timothy 4:6 “If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.”
When I was growing up in ministry, I made sure I read a minimum of 15 chapters of the Bible daily. I read five chapters of the psalms to show me how to pray, one chapter of proverbs to give me wisdom, five chapters of the Old Testament books and five chapters of the New Testament. I learnt very early in my Christian walk that to be a good minister of Jesus Christ, I needed to be trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine.
One major source of training in the word is Bible study.
Here are three benefits of studying the Bible:
1. Studying the Bible will make you a strong Christian
No one wants to be a weakling, whether physically or spiritually. The “young men” of 1 John 2:14 were no longer “children” but were “strong” because the Word of God lived in them, and they overcame the wicked one. But how can you have the word in you when you have not studied it?
2. Studying the Bible will give you confidence and power in prayer
Show me a student of the word of God, and I will show you the man who has confidence in the God who answers by fire. In John 15:7, our Lord Jesus promised, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” Bible study gives us power in prayer because, as we study God’s word, we become acquainted with His will, and consequently, we learn how to pray better.
3. Studying the Bible will guide you in making important decisions in life
Life is filled with decisions: little ones, big ones, and many in between. When the principles of God are well known to a Christian, this simplifies the process of decision-making.
That is what Scripture means when it says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path “(Psalms 119:105, NKJV).
Precious one, as you fill your mind daily through the study of the word of God, it will strengthen you, build your confidence in God, and enlighten the dark paths of the future with divine guidance. Therefore, I challenge you to dig deep into the Word and be trained in it.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, guide me and grant me understanding as I study Your Word, in Jesus’ Name.

Follow God’s Direction

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 328 (24/11/2022)
Isaiah 30:21 “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, this is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”
It can be very frustrating to be lost in a place and can’t seem to find your bearing. In such situations, the compass or GPS can be very instrumental in navigating our paths back to safety. In the same way, God is our heavenly GPS, always on call, waiting to steer us in the right direction.
From today’s reading, the Bible tells us that the Lord is willing to lead and guide us through every step of our lives if only we would listen to Him. As believers, we must always seek and follow His direction in every area of our lives.
Are you wondering how to seek and follow God’s direction? Here are three ways to seek and follow God’s direction:
1. Put your trust in the Lord
How can you travel and arrive safely with a compass you don’t trust? The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV), “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” If we want to have a smooth journey with the Lord’s direction, we must first trust Him to lead and guide us.
2. Spend time in prayer
Scripture admonishes us in Jeremiah 42:3 to pray that the Lord will tell us where we should go and what we should do. One way to get God’s direction is to spend time in prayer. When we form the habit of praying, we commune on a deeper level with God, and we are able to align with the plans he has for us.
3. Actively read the Word of God
Are you in His Word and allowing Him to speak to you through His Word?
The Psalmist says in Psalm 105:119, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”.
Scripture will illuminate your every step, one at a time, and help you to follow God’s direction. The Word of God is the best navigational system to direct you through life, so spend time reading the Word daily.
Precious one, are you at a crossroads as it relates to direction? Are you trying to figure out which decision to make on something pretty major in your life? Then put your trust in the Lord, spend time in prayer and read the Word of God only then can you follow God’s direction.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me follow your leading for my life because you are the only one who can steer me on to the right path, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Earn a Good Name

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 327 (23/11/2022)
Proverbs 22:1(NKJV) “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favour rather than silver and gold.”
Isn’t it confounding how people easily remember the one bad thing you did as compared to the stream of good deeds input in your name? It is pretty difficult to earn a good name, while usually, all it takes is just one mess to lose your hard-earned reputation.
From today’s reading, Scripture tells us there is nothing so valuable as earning a good name. Here are three things to do to earn a good name:
1. Do good in every situation
Apostle Paul admonishes us in 1 Timothy 4:12 (NKJV), “…Be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” To earn a good name, we ought to do good in all situations because all it takes is one mess for our reputation to be tarnished.
2. Always bear in mind a good reputation is precious and valuable
It always pays to earn a good name. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 7:1 (NLT), “A good reputation is more valuable than costly perfume.” it is priceless to have a good name, and if we always live our lives guided by the thought that a good reputation is precious and valuable, we would never fall out of the path of a good name.
3. Avoid evil deeds; they are never forgotten.
Evil deeds, no matter how small they are, follow us everywhere we go. I am sure you still have a vivid memory of all the people who were noted for wrongdoing in school. The name we bear is what people would remember us for.
Precious one, earning a good name is not an event but a lifestyle. Therefore, live in an honourable way, always avoiding wrongdoings.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, make me successful in my field of endeavour as I choose a good name over riches and make me a testimony to those who know me in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t Take the Glory of God

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 326 (22/11/2022)
Acts 12:23 “And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.”
God’s glory is so important and must not be downplayed or denied. Scripture tells us He made us for His glory.
Today’s reading is the ending to an insightful story of Scripture: King Herod being a great orator, gave a fine speech which mesmerized the people of Tyre and Sidon, and by the time he was through, the people gave a loud shout, “This is the voice of God, not a man”. Suddenly, an angel struck Herod dead, and he was eaten by worms!
Herod learned too late that, in one’s time of success, he must remember to give glory to God. Here are three reasons why you should always give the glory to God when success comes your way:
1. Everything belongs to God
The Bible teaches us in Psalm 24:1, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” For God’s blessings to continue in your life, you must know that no one on earth has anything by himself. Several people have had to lose their acquisitions in life because they got to a point where they regarded their possessions as their personal property. Failing to see those possessions as God sees them makes God cut short the blessing and prosperity.
2. God’s glory can be fatal when it’s taken
Taking God’s glory leads to destruction. The Bible says in the book of Proverbs 16:18, “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” The only way to maintain, keep, and increase success and prosperity is to acknowledge that God is the source of wealth and to give glory to Him.
3. Because, if not, people would put you on a pedestal
It was the praise of the people that led to the destruction of Herod. It is said that only statues survive on a pedestal. When people so exalt you that you seem to be flawless, then you are on a pedestal, ready to fall.
Many times you can do little about the praises of men, but you can learn to redirect the praise you receive to God every time.
Precious one, when you apply the scriptural principles from the word of God, you will succeed. When you succeed, though, always remember to give glory to God.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I give You the glory You deserve, let Your name be glorified in my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t Limit the Power of God

 By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 325 (21/11/2022)
Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV) “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”
Our thoughts can make or unmake us, as our minds and hearts are a function of our faith. They are the silent builders of our makeup as believers. That is why we must not be limited in our thoughts and imagination.
From today’s reading, Apostle Paul shows us that God is able to do much more than we can ask or imagine. Here are three things to inspire your imagination:
1. Remember our God is omnipotent
As a believer, you should always remind yourself that your Heavenly Father owns the universe and the earth is His footstool (Isaiah 66:1, NKJV). Therefore, there should be no limit to the things you imagine or think.
2. Keep in mind Jesus has commanded us to do more
Our faith is designed to do more and not little. Jesus tells His disciples in John 14:12 (NKJV), “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do…” Think, imagine and aim high because Jesus has already declared that you would do more!
3. Constantly remind yourself God is not limited in resources
Similar to the fact that God is all-powerful, you need to remind yourself that God is not limited in resources when supplying the needs of His children. Apostle Paul reminds us, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19, NKJV). For everyone who desires more from God, more will be given, and he will have an abundance.
Precious one, there is nothing beyond God’s provisional power. One of the major things that limit God in His tracks is our mind. Think and imagine as much as you can, and God will do it for you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, open my eyes to see beyond little things in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Treasure Hunt for Wisdom

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 324 (20/11/2022)
Proverbs 4:7(NKJV) “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.”
Without wisdom in everything we do in life, pain, disappointments, frustration, and struggles are inevitable. We must seek wisdom as treasure hunters do for precious metals. From today’s reading, we are admonished to get wisdom as we cannot attain much in life without it. If you have every other thing but lack wisdom, you would fail. Here are three reasons why we need wisdom :
1. Wisdom brings wealth to those who possess it
Proverbs 14:24 (GNT) says, “Wise people are rewarded with wealth, but fools are known by their foolishness.” Since people pay for solutions, and it is wisdom that provides solutions, wisdom always attracts wealth.
2. Without wisdom, we will always engage in contention
A fool’s actions lead him into strife and quarrels. In Proverbs 18:6, we are told, “A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes”. Are you often found in contentious circumstances? It’s time to get the supreme substance, wisdom.
3. Lack of wisdom makes us wise in our own eyes
Fools don’t seek counsel. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 12:15 (NKJV), “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise.” It is only a fool who considers his ways right in his own eyes, so seek counsel when need be.
Precious one, treasure hunt for wisdom and reject every form of foolishness because only then would we navigate life properly and have peace.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me wisdom to navigate life as I journey here on earth in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be Thankful to God on Purpose

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 323 (19/11/2022)
Ephesians 5:20 “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”
A little boy was asked to pray for dinner. Before he bowed his head to pray, he looked at the dish. Then, closing his eyes he prayed, “Lord, I don’t like the looks of it, but I’ll thank you and eat it anyway.”
Giving thanks to God on purpose and counting our blessings is an important daily activity in our Christian walk. Even when situations don’t seem like what we expect, we must be thankful to God on purpose like the little boy who was asked to pray for dinner.
As Christians, we are encouraged to develop the habit of being thankful to God on purpose. Here are three reasons to be thankful to God on purpose
  1. When we are thankful to God on purpose, it glorifies Him
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:15, “For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.” When we are thankful to God on purpose it glorifies God as we exalt not the gifts, but the Giver. This helps us realise that all we have comes not because of us, but because of God.
  1. When we are thankful to God on purpose it gives us access to get answers to our prayers
The Psalmist writes in Psalms 100:4-5, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” When we are thankful to God on purpose it opens His gates; praises usher you into His courts. Until you enter into His presence, there’s no audience; and if there’s no audience, there can’t be answers to requests. Therefore, being thankful to God on purpose gives us access to get answers to our prayers.
  1. When we are thankful to God on purpose it puts us squarely in His will
We often make God’s will out to be some big, mystical plan when sometimes, it’s simply a matter of obedience. Part of His will for us is to be thankful, not just on the good, sunny days but on the hard, rainy ones as well. “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Precious one, when we are thankful to God on purpose, it expedites answers to prayer and puts us in His will. Therefore, be thankful to God on purpose.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I learn to walk in Thanksgiving on purpose fill my heart with a spirit of gratitude and contentment in Jesus’ name.

Pay Attention to Anointed Music

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 322 (18/11/2022)
2 Kings 3:15 (NKJV) “But now bring me a musician. Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.”
Anointed music is music delivered vocally or by instruments or both that is inspired by the Holy Spirit. It glorifies God in thanksgiving, praise and worship, as well as ministers His power to believers.
Many musicians are associated with the gospel genre, but only a handful make music to glorify God and minister His power. Men may appreciate many songs, but not all are accepted by God, who looks at the heart.
Our God is holy and requires that we also are holy; hence it takes holy vessels to make music that pleases God and causes Him to act. As believers, we must identify and lend our ears to such songs.
Here are three ways anointed music influences our lives:
1. Anointed music refreshes the human spirit
1 Samuel 16:23 (NKJV), “And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.”
Music inspired by the Holy Spirit through consecrated vessels carries the power to refresh our spirit. In the above verse, anytime evil spirits tormented Saul, David, anointed of God, would play to refresh him. Our spirit may be down or troubled by the issues of life, yet we can look to the psalms and anointed songs to refresh us.
2. Anointed music brings joy
1 Kings 1:40 (NKJV), “…And the people played the flutes and rejoiced with great joy so that the earth seemed to split with their sound.”
Joy is a part of the fruit of the spirit we must develop as believers. It comes from the Lord and does not depend on our current circumstances. Nonetheless, there are many issues in life, like delay or loss, that can steal our joy. God, in His infinite wisdom, has also given us anointed music to lift up our souls and bring us joy in troubling times.
3. Dancing before the Lord
2 Samuel 6:14-15 (NKJV), “Then David danced before the Lord with all his might…” Dancing involves the movement of our bodies to music. For the believer, it is done as an expression of our worship and love for God. He created man for His worship; thus, one way to please Him is by dancing before Him. Anointed music moves the believer to dance before the Lord as an outward expression of thanksgiving, praise and worship.
Precious one, open the door of your heart to anointed music. Allow it to refresh your spirit, bring your soul joy and inspire you to dance before the Lord as a form of worship.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I listen to anointed music, release your anointing on me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Stay Prosperous

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 321 (17/11/2022)
Luke 14:28 (NLT) “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?”
Prosperity is not an event but a lifestyle. Without adequate financial planning, we can’t maintain the wealth we acquire or can’t become wealthy in future.
Today’s reading tells us that it is very important to plan towards our use of money and our acquisition of wealth. Here are three practical steps to take to stay prosperous.
1. Avoid overspending
It is very common for us to hear people say cut your coat according to your material, or live within your means. Simply stated, do not spend what you haven’t earned. Why do you have to spend on something just because others are when you do not have the capacity to do so? Do you want to make financial progress in life? Then avoid overspending
2. Be disciplined with your savings
The Bible says in Proverbs 10:17 (NIV), “Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life….” Financial experts advise that we save 20% of all our income as a lifestyle over a long period of time to be able to cause a financial increase. Without discipline, this would just be a good idea, but it would not reflect in our pockets. We must be disciplined with our savings and spending if we want to stay prosperous.
3. Pay your tithes
Our tithe is a sacred offering to God which brings financial growth and prosperity. It is also the surest and most reliable insurance on earth. Malachi 3:11 says, “He will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.” So tithing insures us from the devourer, who would have eaten up our harvest. To stay prosperous, we must pay our tithes.
Precious one, we need to keep in mind that nobody ever arrived at a financial increase by chance. To stay prosperous, avoid overspending, pay your tithes and be disciplined with money.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to plan and use money wisely to stay prosperous in Jesus’ name. Amen

Surrender Your Lordship

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 320 (16/11/2022)
2 Corinthians 5:15 (NKJV) “And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.”
Lord, Master, or Owner are some of the synonyms for lordship. Lordship also means one to whom service is due on any ground. By His redemptive work on the cross, Christ earned lordship over our lives.
Casting our minds back to when we first believed in Jesus, we confessed Him as Lord and personal saviour. Even though we have succeeded in making Him our personal saviour, many are yet to hand Him total lordship over their lives. For the majority of us, the Lord cannot require of us our career, wealth, or our worldly desires because we consider them none negotiable. It is high time we give up lordship to Him, so He can lead us to perfection. Here are three things you must do to give up the lordship of your life:
1. Acknowledge and confess your sin
1 John 1:9 (NKJV), “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
As we keep growing in the faith, the Lord will reveal areas of our lives where we must let go and hand over control to Him. When the word of God or the Holy Spirit convicts us to this realization, we must acknowledge our sin and confess it as the first step to giving the Lord preeminence in our lives.
2. Humble yourself unto the Lord
1 Peter 5:6 (NKJV), “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,” True humility is towards God and not man. Nonetheless, when we are humble towards God, it reflects in our relationship with men. The humble put all their trust in the Lord, allowing Him to direct their path, while the proud steer their own affairs. Most often, we only come to the point of humility after crashing from steering our own lives but recognize that it’s never too late to humble ourselves.
3. Live unto the Lord
1 Peter 4:2 (NKJV), “That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.”
Our Lord and master Jesus lived to fulfil God’s will for His life. Looking unto Him who died and rose again for us, we must resolve to live unto Him. Living unto the Lord is knowing His will for our lives and doing our best with the help of the Holy Spirit to chart that cause.
Precious one, surrender lordship of your life unto Jesus. Acknowledge and confess your sins, humble yourself and live unto the Lord then, you will have good success.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I yield the lordship of my life to you, have your way with me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Trust in God’s Protection

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 319 (15/11/2022)
Psalms 41:2 “The Lord will protect him and keep him alive, And he will be called blessed upon the earth; And do not turn him over to the desire of his enemies”
The end of the year is usually noted as a period in the year with very high demonic activities and the devil and his minions seek to kill, steal and destroy at every opportunity. That is why a reminder to trust in God’s protection is very timely. Like the Psalmist, we must say even though we walk through the darkest valley, we will fear no evil, for God is with us and will certainly keep and protect us. Here are three ways by which God grants protection:
  1. God will keep us with His presence
The company you keep determines what accompanies you. The 91st Psalm opens with the first verse as follows, “You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow” (MSG). In the succeeding verses, the Psalmist is confident about his preservation from impending harm and further expresses a strong conviction about an impenetrable covering for his protection all because of the presence of God. His message is simple: anyone who keeps company with God is secure and invincible.
  1. He has given His Angels charge over us
“For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go” (Psalm 91:11, TLB) reveals another means by which divine protection is granted: angels of God. In their duty of protection, the angels of God minister help and care (Hebrews 1:14, TLB), they defend (Psalms 34:7, NLT), and guide God’s people in their travels and in all other ways (Exodus 23:20, MSG, NLT).
  1. Protection by Prevention
In Psalms 59:10 and 79:8, the Psalmist asked that the mercies of God would prevent him. Contrary to the current usage of the word “prevent”, “to prevent”, as translated from the Hebrew, actually signifies “to anticipate, to precede, to foresee and fulfill in advance, to pay a debt before it is due; to confront, to go before.” In effect, even if there is a cause for an enemy to attack, God’s protection which ‘prevents’ would take care of the debt and confront the enemy as long as you operate on God’s terms.
Precious one, God’s protection is a sure promise. Trust in His protection by staying in His presence and asking for His protection.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the protection I have in Your presence. May angels be dispatched for my sake and deliver me from the desire of my enemies in this season, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer is the Key

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 318 (14/11/2022)
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV) “Pray without ceasing,”
Prayer is acknowledging that without God, you can do nothing. God has ordained our prayers to cause things to happen and move His hand. Knowing that our prayers bring solutions should compel us to cultivate an unceasing lifestyle of prayer.
From today’s reading, the Bible admonishes us to pray without ceasing, and as believers, we must do just that, knowing that prayer is the key. Here are three reasons why we must pray:
1. Prayer generates revivals and pushes back the rule of darkness
The Psalmist cries in Psalms 85:6, “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” All the great revivals that have taken place and are still ongoing are the result of prayer. The Azusa Street Revival, which gave birth to the Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements, came as a result of prayer.
2. Prayer calls God into our situations
We secure help from above through the power of prayer. Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) says, “Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”Without help from above, we are helpless here on earth. Every blessing and accomplishment in life comes as a result of the help of God.
3. Prayer brings deliverance from affliction
Prayer is one of God’s vital solutions for affliction. It is the Holy Spirit’s prescription for deliverance from oppression and satanic torment. James 5:13
“Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.”
The Bible did not say is any afflicted; let him cry, watch or complain. The Bible said let him pray. That means anyone that is battered, tormented or depressed is expected to pray for deliverance. If you want to see that yoke of affliction or bondage break off your life, you must pray fervently.
Precious one, Anyone who thinks prayer is no longer necessary is ready to lose what God has given him. Therefore rise up and become a person of prayer.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to be a man or woman of prayer in Jesus’ name.

Watch What You Say!

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 317 (13/11/2022)
Matthew 12:37 “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words, thou shalt be condemned.”
There is power in the words we speak, and as believers, we must choose our words with care, recognizing the responsibility that comes with our speech.
From today’s reading, Jesus said we shall give account for every idle word we speak in the day of judgment.
Here are three reasons why we must watch what you say:
1. Our words either ensnare or liberate us
The Bible says in Proverbs 6:2(NKJV), “You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth.” To be snared means to be trapped. What you say can cause you to stumble or can keep you from fulfilling your destiny.
2. We will always have what we say
Words have creative power. What you are having right now is as a result of what you have been saying. Jesus told His disciples in Mark 11:23 (NKJV), says, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” What you have or possess today is a result of what you said yesterday.
3. The words we speak reveal the condition of our hearts
Jesus said, “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” (Matthew 12:34). The words that come from our mouths reveal the condition of our hearts and minds. Lies, gossip, criticism, and slander, can damage not just those about whom they are spoken but the speaker as well. We would either be condemned or justified by the words we speak.
Precious one, your future is in your mouth. Go ahead from today and use your mouth positively to create the future you desire.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to put a watch over my mouth in Jesus’ name.Amen

Keep On Telling Them!

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 316 (12/11/2022)
Acts 5:42 (NKJV) “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.”
Do you know Jesus is the cure for the world’s problems and is the only source of salvation? We must not hide Him quietly in our homes. If there was ever a time Jesus was needed the most, it is now!
From today’s reading, we learnt that the Apostles did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus Christ even in their difficult times. We must therefore tell the world about him whenever we get the opportunity. Here are three reasons why we must keep telling the world about Christ:
1. Keep telling the world about Christ because of the times we are in
As the disciples of Jesus did in their trying times, we must not cease teaching about Christ in times like this, where hope in systems seems to be lost.
In the Bible, we see a plethora of occurrences where the disciples, despite their suffering, consistently preached Christ (Acts 5:40-42). If you identify yourself as a disciple of Christ, then you must do no less, even in times like this.
2. Keep telling the world about Christ because the world needs Him
Like one great evangelist said, “There is one way to heaven: Jesus. And there is one job to do: evangelism [lifting His banner High]”. Salvation is exclusive, and Jesus Christ could not have made it clearer in John 14:6 (NKJV), “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me”. Many are perishing today, and we must show them this way, Jesus Christ.
3. Keep telling the world about Christ because His return is imminent
Christ could come at any moment. And, as believers, we must work in earnest expectation of His second coming. He said in Revelation 22:7, “Behold, I come quickly…” Souls are perishing, and His return is imminent. Therefore, tell them about Christ while you still can.
Precious one, take a little time out of your day today and tell those around you about Jesus because the world needs Him, His return is imminent, and because that is the call of true disciples.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I unceasingly tell the world about You, may many come to Your saving knowledge in Jesus’ name, Amen.

God will Sustain You

 By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 315 (11/11/22)
1 Kings 17:16 (NKJV) “The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.”
Currently, inflation is at a record high with increasing prices of goods and services. Likewise, purchasing power keeps diminishing in relation to the exchange rate, and at this juncture, many fear the worse, but as believers, we must rest assured that God will make a way.
When there was a famine for three and half years in Samaria, God sent Elijah to a widow in Zarephath. She and her son were living in uncertainty since they were down to their last meal. Nonetheless, the word of God came, and by the widow acting on the word, they were sustained until the famine ended.
Here are three things you must do in order to be sustained:
1. Receive the Prophetic Word
2 Kings 7:1-2 (NKJV)
“…Tomorrow about this time, a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” …”
As believers, we must receive God’s prophet and his word so long as it’s in line with the word of God. Unlike the man on whose hand the King leaned, let us not focus on the prevailing circumstances but receive the word with gladness. We must make our hearts fertile ground for the word while we trust God to perform it.
2. Have Faith in God
Mark 11:22 (AMP)
“And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].”
Having faith in God is trusting Him to perform what He has said. We must feed our hearts with the word of God in relation to the prophetic word. Hence, as we keep praying, we must also read, study, meditate and confess the word daily to quicken its performance.
3. Act on the Prophetic Word
1 Kings 17:15 (NKJV)
“So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days.”
In their discourse (v13), Elijah said to her, “Do not fear”; in other words, have faith and act on the word. Even though God wants to sustain us, He will not do it in a vacuum, He will try us by His word. Let us ensure we pass the test by taking God by His word and acting in accordance with His will.
Precious one, God wants to sustain you in this time. Receive His prophetic word, trust Him to fulfil His word and act on it.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, let there be a performance of your prophetic word in my life as I act on it in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Deserves Our Praise

 By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 314 (10 /11/2022)
Psalm 67:5-6 “Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase, and God, even our own God, shall bless us.”
Scripture admonishes us to praise God over two hundred times, showing how important the practice is to our lives. And from today’s reading, the Bible tells us to lift praises to God because our praises to God always yield a positive outcome in our lives and our circumstances. Here are three instances to give God praise:
1. Praising God for what He has done
When one leper, out of the ten, realised he had been cleansed of his leprosy, he returned to give thanks to Jesus, and he was also made whole of his plague (Luke 17: 17-19). Beloved, instead of focusing on the present challenges you are facing, praise Him for what He has done for you, and you will be rewarded with fullness and wholeness.
2. Praising God for future expectations
Jesus expected Lazarus to rise from the dead; thus, He praised and thanked God for it, and Lazarus came back to life (John 21:41-44).
For the promise of his son, Abraham praised God continually in anticipation of that miracle (Romans 4:20).
3. Praising Him amid difficult situations
When the king of Judah, Jehoshaphat, was faced with an army that had the potential of wiping out the entire nation, sought God and embraced a “praised strategy”, which moved God to ambush their enemies for a great victory (2 Chronicles 20:15,20-24).
Precious one, a life that is full of praise, is a life full of supernatural manifestations. Praise God for what He has done, for what He will do and praise Him even amid difficult situations, and you are guaranteed every time, without exception, the salvation and victory of the Lord.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for all You have done for my family and me, I thank You for what You will do, and I thank You for the miracles you are bringing my way today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Root of All Evil

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 313 (09 /11/2022)
1 Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
People often say money is the root of all evil, but it is actually the love of money which is the root of all evil. It’s easy for us to love and trust in riches, forgetting that human riches are of no value in eternity. If God blesses us and we begin to accumulate financial resources, we must be on guard against them becoming idols in our hearts.
Apostle Paul instructed his protégé, Timothy, to issue a warning to the rich members of his church: “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6:17). Money is important, but we need not fall in love with money.
Here are three reasons why you should not fall in love with money:
1. You can’t serve God and money
In Matthew 6:24, we are told, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Beloved, let your love be for God, not money.
2. Money can fail
Money failed in Egypt in Genesis 47:15: “And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth.” Lovers of money are found wanting when money fails.
3. Money is important but don’t fall in love with it
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 10:19, “…Money answereth all things.” Money is important, and without it, it is difficult to get things done, but we must be careful we don’t fall in love with it because the Bible says again in Hebrews 13:5-6 (ESV), “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Precious one, money is necessary because it keeps you from danger but don’t fall in low with it.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to guard my heart against the love of money and rather have a heart that is set on You, in Jesus’ name, Amen

Don’t Allow Your Past to Rob You

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 312 (08 /11/2022)
Philippians 3:13 (NKJV), “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,”
The lyrics of a popular Ghanaian gospel song say, “Yesterday is gone, another has come. Do something new in my life…” God is willing to do new things in our lives when we decide to shut out the thief called “Our Past” and move on to enjoy the abundant life Christ provides.
Is your past robbing you of the joy of today? Then forget your past! From today’s reading, the Bible admonishes us to forget those things which are behind and reach forward to those things which are ahead,”
Here are three things you must do to deny your past from robbing you:
  1. Be conscious of your newness in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV), “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Man is a spirit, he has a soul and lives in a body. Our spirit, man is instantly renewed when we come to the saving knowledge of Christ. When we are conscious of this fact, our new man cannot be held liable for the past. Because of the blood, we are free and hence at liberty to pursue our future and possess every good thing in Him.
  1. Get rid of guilt
Psalms 51:14 (NKJV) says, “Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.” When we hold on to the guilt of past sins, it prevents us from coming boldly to God in prayer. But when we drop the weight known as guilt, we come to God boldly in prayer and leave with answers. Let us put all forms of guilt aside and move on with our lives because He forgave all our sins and purified us by the blood when we sincerely confessed them.
  1. Allow the Holy Spirit to Restore your Soul
Psalms 23:3 (NKJV), “He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.”
To restore means to bring something to its original state. When we repent of bad deeds and constantly abide in the word, and ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit, He will dwell in us richly, also forming His fruit in us. Each part of His fruit is available to help us deal with things that affect our souls, like fear, anger etc. For instance, when we are filled with love, our pains and regrets from rejections or previous relationships will be put aside so we can love again.
Precious one, let the old things that have passed away remain buried in the grave by getting rid of every form of guilt while walking in the consciousness of your newness in Christ and allowing the Holy Spirit to restore your soul.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, by the power of the Holy Ghost, restore my soul, that I may walk in righteousness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

How Diligent Are You ?

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 311 (07 /11/2022)
Hebrews 6:11-12 (NKJV), “And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
A wise man once said, “Where diligence is, procrastination and laziness are not”. Diligence has no room for lackadaisical attitudes. A diligent person is someone who accepts each task as a special assignment from God and does it with all his might to an acceptable end.
From today’s reading, the Bible admonishes us to walk in diligence and not become sluggish. Here are three principles to master if you want to become diligent:
1. Stay alert and awake
Diligence walks with being alert instead of being asleep. Sleep is good, but when you get into the habit of always sleeping and not pursuing work to make a living, that is laziness or sluggishness, which eventually results in poverty. Proverbs 20:13 says, “If you love sleep, you will end in poverty. Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat!”
2. Be self-motivated
A diligent person is a self-motivated person. Scripture says in Proverbs 6:6 (NKJV), “Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise,” In the scripture above, the ant is cited as an example of a diligent character that is very self-motivated. If we want to walk in diligence, we must be self-motivated in everything we do.
3. Have respect for time
Diligent people have respect for time. To walk in diligence, you must learn to calculate your life and know what to expect at each point in time.
The Psalmist writes, in Psalm 90:12, ”That teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” Do you want to be diligent? know the relevance of your time and make proper use of it.
Precious one, diligence is an essential ingredient for success. Therefore, be self-motivated, have respect for time and don’t oversleep to stay diligent.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to walk in diligence in all that I do in Jesus’ name, amen.

God Will Take Care of You

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 310 (06 /11/2022)
Psalms 55:22 “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Some years ago, J. C. Penney made some unwise commitments and became so depressed that he developed shingles. At one point, he worried so much that he believed that he would die, so he wrote letters to his family and fell asleep.
He woke up the next morning to the song from a Chapel nearby, “God Will Take Care of You”. After singing the song to himself, something happened. He later said, “I realized then that I alone was responsible for my troubles.“ From that day forward, his life was free of worry, and it was all because he realized that God would take care of him. Worry is designed to distract us from the Word of God, the foundation for our stability in a turbulent world. Here are three ways to overcome worry:
1. Learn to rejoice in the Lord
The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:4 (NIV), “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
When Paul wrote this to the Philippians, he was in prison. He had a marvellous opportunity to be worried. Instead, he encouraged the Philippians to rejoice. If some of us were in that situation, we would have written the contrary. But Apostle Paul could rejoice because he knew God would take care of him.
2. Continue in prayer
Do you remember Paul and Silas when they were in prison? At midnight they prayed and sang praises to God, and an earthquake shook open the prison doors (Acts 16:24–26). If we’ll pray and sing praises in our midnight hour, the prison doors of our lives will be opened! Instead of panicking, rely on God and call Him into your situation.
3. Cast your cares on Him
1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified) says, “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” God wants us to live stress-free, peaceful, and joyful lives, but that is not possible if we do not learn to cast our cares upon Him.
Precious one, God will take care of you but if you want to be steadfast in the midst of the storms of life today, then stop worrying. Keep praying and rejoicing in the Lord, and cast all your cares on Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, instead of worrying, cause me to walk with confidence and assurance of the future You have for me; in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Comfort Yourselves Together

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 309 (05 /11/2022)
1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭11‬,‬‬ “Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”‬‬
‭‭ ‬‬
One thing we must learn to do daily is comforting one another because God never stops comforting His people. In our world today, many people are suffering, and others may be going through one painful situation or another due to the pressures of life. As believers, it is one of our primary responsibilities to comfort them.
From today’s reading, Apostle Paul tells us to comfort one another. Here are three reasons to comfort one another in times like these:
1. Comforting one another softens hardened hearts
There is a tendency to become hardened at heart and less sensitive in our minds. However, the duty of comforting one another or mutual exhortation keeps our consciences tender. This helps us to always listen to the commands of God. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 3:13, “But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
2. Comforting one another reminds us of our victory in Christ
It is so important to God that we comforting one another because many experience hardships in the faith and eventually throw in the towel. God wants to use us to reassure others of His love and remind them of the victory He has won for them. Jesus in John 16:33 tells us, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” In this portion of scripture, we see Jesus comforting the disciples after telling them about the hard times ahead. We must therefore learn to comfort one another in times like these.
3. Comforting one another helps restore hope
Many people around the world are going through the biggest storms of their lives and will need one form of comforting or another. Comforting one another spurs us on when we are at our lowest. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV), “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” At our lowest, we receive hope again when there’s someone who can empower us with words of comfort that spurs us on to hang in there until we see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Precious one, remember comforting one another always makes a difference in the lives of those around us; therefore, endeavour to comfort one another daily.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, light our world up again as we comfort one another daily in Jesus’ name, Amen!

In Everything Give Thanks

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 308 (04 /11/2022)
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV) “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
When Jesus was confronted with the problem of feeding the five thousand, He gave thanks and praise to the Father instead of complaining about the situation. Thanksgiving is a key ingredient for living life as God intended.
From today’s reading, the Bible admonishes us to exercise the attitude of gratitude at all times. Here are three practical ways to give thanks to God at all times:
1. In songs of thanksgiving
We can turn our gratitude into songs of thanksgiving. The Psalmist says in Psalms 147:7 (NKJV), “Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; Sing praises on the harp to our God”. When we remember His wondrous works in our lives in particular and in creation in general, we can show God our appreciation through our songs.
2. Through our gestures
Even in the natural, people often express their gratitude without speaking a word—they only show it in their gestures, such as jumping in excitement, dancing without restraint, etc. In the same way, we can let God know we are grateful by dancing, clapping, and so on.
3. By giving tokens of thanksgiving
The Bible says in Psalms 107:22, “And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.” There are times when we show our gratitude with more than just gestures and words, but with tokens of thanksgiving such as a thanksgiving offering or gift, like the Israelites were commanded to do in the Promised Land.
Precious one, walk in thanksgiving continually in every way possible and see yourself rise in life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I walk in thanksgiving at all times, may Your multiplying power be released to satisfy my needs in Jesus’ name!

You Will Be Cherry Picked like Esther

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 307 (03 /11/2022)
Esther 2:17 (NKJV) “The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.”
In life, we are confronted with many competitive situations in every facet of our lives. In our quest to earn scholarships, employment, contracts, a slot on a team or even marriage. We are bound to come against stiff competition from equally competent candidates.
In the opening scripture, Esther, by divine intervention and certain decisions, obtained grace and favour and was cherry-picked to become Queen of Persia. To be Cherry-picked means to be carefully chosen as being the best or most suitable from a number or group of candidates based on predetermined criteria. Here are three things you must do in addition to the God factor:
1. Pay attention to Wisdom
Esther 2:10 (NKJV) “Esther had not revealed her people or family, for Mordecai had charged her not to reveal it.”
Mordecai advised Esther not to reveal her identity or family ties, and she obliged without questioning his intent. Later on, that tiny piece of wise counsel by Mordecai helped her become queen and also sealed the preservation of the Jews. As believers, we must learn to discern and heed the voice of wisdom, for it will work out for our good.
2. Prepare In Advance
Esther 2:12 (NKJV), “Each young woman’s turn came to go into King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months’ preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparation apportioned: six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women.”
When we fail to prepare, it is enough preparation to fail, but when preparation meets opportunity, we are bound to succeed. According to the scripture above, the young women spent a year in preparation to have one night out with the King.
Our beauty, talents, intelligence and spiritual gifts are great assets but not enough to bring us success. They must be refined by advanced preparation to help us stand a chance of being the preferred choice.
3. Seek Expert Opinion
Esther 2:15 (NKJV), “Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go into the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all who saw her.”
Perhaps the other young ladies asked for beauty enhancement accessories when they met Hegai. However, Esther thought differently when it was her turn; she sought expert advice from the single person who knew what the King wanted in a woman. This gave her an advantage over the others. In the face of competition, expert opinion in line with the word of God can be the distinguishing factor that sets us apart from the rest.
Precious one, you will be cherry-picked over your peers like Esther when you open up to wisdom. Utilize expert advice and also prepare in advance for opportunities.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, favour my cause so that I will excel above my peers, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Don’t Drift Away From God

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 306 (02 /11/2022)
Colossians 1:23 (NLT) “But you must continue to believe this truth and stand in it firmly. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed by God to proclaim it.”
We are in challenging times spiritually, morally and economically all over the world. In such times, there is the possibility of some people losing their faith and drifting away from God. For this reason, we must be watchful through encouragement to stand strong in God and not turn away from Him.
Here are three things to do so you don’t drift away:
1. Pay attention to the Scriptures.
Hebrews 2:1 (NIV) says, “We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.”
The Scripture is a guide and a manual for us. Our devotion to the Scriptures increases our knowledge of God. And the knowledge of God makes us strong and firm in serving God. Therefore, you must pay the most careful attention to the Scriptures so that you don’t drift away from God.
2. Persevere in your faith in God during trials.
James 1:12 (NIV), “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
Don’t bow to challenges and trials. Have an attitude to persevere under trials and tough oppositions. Your love and faith in God will constantly be subjected to trials. But for those who are steadfast and endure to the end, God takes pleasure in them and rewards them greatly.
3. Be careful with your associations.
Joshua 23:7-8 (NIV), “Do not associate with these nations that remain among you; do not invoke the names of their gods or swear by them. You must not serve them or bow down to them. But you are to hold fast to the LORD your God, as you have until now.”
The kind of people we associate ourselves with influences our faith in God. Thus, God warned His people against associating with ungodly people. You cannot swim in the water and not expect to be wet. Be careful with your associations, or else you may drift away from God.
Precious one, remember to pay the most careful attention to the Scriptures, to persevere in faith and to be careful with your associations so that you don’t drift away from God.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask for strength and grace to remain abiding in Christ and not to drift away from You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Build Yourself Up Spiritually

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 305 (01 /11/2022)
Ecclesiastes 3:1,3 (NKJV) “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven…a time to build up.”
Martin Luther King, Jr once said, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” In tough times like this, it takes the tough to get going hence the perfect time to build up spiritual muscles. To build up spiritual muscles means to increase the amount of spiritual strength over a period of time or to become stronger spiritually.
When we survey gyms nationwide, we are bound to come across the inscription “No pain, no gain” in many of them. It means failing to go through the pain of exercise results in no gain in muscle or strength. Since all truths are parallel, “No pain, no gain” also applies to spiritual things. Until we resolve to go through the pain of building up spiritual muscle ourselves, we are bound to either fail or remain ordinary as believers.
Here are three things to help us build up spiritual muscles:
1. Build a solid foundation of Sound Doctrine
Colossians 2:7 (NKJV), “Rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”
Sound Doctrine is timeless Spirit-inspired teaching grounded in the truth of the word. Knowing and living by such teachings will help us develop deep roots in Christ, which cannot be uprooted by every wind of doctrine that blows from time to time. Having sound doctrine will propel us from childhood to maturity, thus making us channels for the establishment of other believers.
2. Study the word of God regularly
Acts 20:32 (NKJV), “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
Aside from reading the word of God regularly, we must devote time to the study of the word. In studying the word, we rely on commentaries and concordances and compare scripture to scripture. Regular study of the word brings us a broad and deeper understanding to possess every good thing God promises in His word.
3. Pray constantly in the Holy Spirit
Jude 1:20 (NKJV) “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.” Praying in the Holy Spirit is praying in tongues. When we pray in tongues, we speak mysteries in the spirit unto God and edify ourselves. Apostle Paul said to the believers in Corinth, ‘I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.’ (1 Corinthians 14:18) hence his manifestation of great spiritual power throughout his ministry.
Precious one, when the going gets tough, only the tough get going. Therefore, build yourself up spiritually by studying the word regularly, fortifying your doctrinal foundation, and constantly praying in the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me put in the required effort to build up spiritual muscles, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let’s Be Good Stewards

Day 304 (31/10/2022)
Luke 12:42-43 “And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his Lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when he cometh shall find so doing.”
God has given us life, time and opportunities of which we are stewards of. And we can choose how to use them or just allow them to drift by without taking advantage of them.
From today’s reading, Jesus shows us that a good steward is one who is mindful of his master’s return at any time. Here are three things good stewards do:
1. Good stewards develop a daily plan
In order to be an effective steward of what you have, you must develop a plan that you follow religiously. The Bible tells us in Luke 14:28, “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?”
Without a plan, we will misuse the resources left in our care, such as time, money and opportunities.
2. Good stewards stay focused and consistent
We can never make good use of the resources we have if we are inconsistent and lack focus.
The Bible admonishes us in Proverbs 4:25 (EASY) “Look straight in front of you. And watch where you are going.” Without a focus, wasting is inevitable. We must learn to be focused and consistent because a distracted and inconsistent steward is no steward at all.
3. Good stewards are profit-minded
In Matthew 25:14-30, the first two stewards were profit-minded hence they each gave the owner back double what they were given. If you are a steward and you are not making a profit, the father is not pleased with you. Don’t be like the third steward, be profit-minded if you want to be a good steward.
Precious one, you can’t be a good steward if your life is unplanned and you are not profit-minded, focused and consistent.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to live up to your expectations in Jesus’ name, amen.

The Charioteer of All Virtues

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 303 (30/10/2022)
Proverbs 27:12 (NKJV) “A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; The simple pass on and are punished.”
As believers, it is expected of us to walk in a lot of virtues, but one virtue we need the most is prudence. St. Thomas and others called prudence the “charioteer of the virtues” because its role is to direct them properly in accordance with our final goal.
God expects us to be careful and prudent in everything we do. Prudence is the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason in the management of one’s life, marked by circumvention and discreetness. It’s the virtue that reminds us to be on guard at all times. It is a must-have virtue in our world today.
Oftentimes, because of the way our minds work, we tend to discount what may happen in the future simply because it hasn’t happened yet, but from today’s reading, the Bible reminds us that the prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffers for it.
If we are going to succeed in life and avoid crashes in the various areas of our lives, prudence is one of the qualities that are indispensable. Here are three reasons to be prudent:
1. The prudent man is crowned with knowledge
Knowledge is an important commodity every person must seek. The prudent knows what to do in any situation. He has great knowledge that the simple man cannot find. The Bible says in Proverbs 14:18 (NKJV) “The simple inherit folly, But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.”
2. The prudent man understands the ways of God
It is one thing to know about God and another to understand His ways. The Bible tells us in Hosea 14:9 (NKJV), “Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the LORD are right; The righteous walk in them, But transgressors stumble in them.” One needs prudence to be able to understand God and His ways.
3. The prudent man foresees and avoids evil
To be prudent is to be on guard for danger—not just in the present but in the future as well. Many have ended their lives prematurely because they saw danger or the signs of it and didn’t hide. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:3 (NKJV), “A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished.”
Precious one, walking in prudence will save you from a world of sorrow. Therefore, walk in prudence as it will help you foresee and avoid evil, understand the ways of God, and will crown you with knowledge.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to live a prudent life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Flee from Danger Zones

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 302 (29/10/2022)
1 Timothy 6:11 (NKJV) “But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.”
In a 2005 National Geographic article, an interesting observation was made about that year’s Tsunami. Before the giant waves hit Sri Lanka and India’s coastlines, wild and domestic animals within the territory seemed to know. According to eyewitnesses, elephants screamed and ran to safety, dogs refused to go outdoors, and zoo animals took refuge in their shelters and would not come out. These animals seemed to know the impending danger and fled to safety.
In the scriptural text above, Apostle Paul seeing the impending danger from his position of authority, warned his protégé, Timothy, to run away to safety.
Here are three dangers we must run away from:
1. Flee from strange shepherds.
John 10:5 (NKJV) “Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”
Jesus, the good shepherd, has assigned His under-shepherds (pastors) to make known His voice to His people. Knowing the voice of the Lord will help us ignore all contradictory voices of strangers. We must turn away from false teachers whose voice is contrary to the sound doctrine of the Gospel. Studying the Word and relying on the Holy Spirit will guarantee our safety from such.
2. Flee from idolatry.
1 Corinthians 10:14 (NKJV) “Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.”
Serving Christ involves making a conscious decision to shun idols and other gods for the only true God. Besides carved images and objects of nature, anything in our lives that competes with God for preeminence in our lives, like money, fashion or sports, becomes an idol. Our God, whose name is Jealous, commands that we worship Him alone; thus, we must consciously remove anything that seeks to take His place in our lives.
3. Flee sexual immorality.
1 Corinthians 6:18 (NKJV) “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.”
Pornography, masturbation, fornication, adultery, homosexuality and bestiality are some forms of sexual immorality. As believers, we are commanded to flee from such acts because they defile us and destroy our faith, family, ministry and career when we indulge in them. Instead, we must pursue righteousness, godliness and such things that edify.
Precious one, stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit so that you can flee from strange shepherds, idolatry and sexual immorality in order that you do not shipwreck your Christian faith.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I receive grace to flee from paths and persons that are harmful to my Christian faith, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You Shall Rise Again

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 301 (28/10/2022)
Micah 7:8 “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.”
“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” ― Thomas Edison.
Failure in any aspect of life does not mean a knockout in life. But your ability to rise again is key to your progress and success. This is very important in your quest to achieve your goals and purposes in life. The opening scripture encourages us that when we fall, there is the need to rise again. This means rising again is possible. Don’t allow the enemy to rejoice over you; rise up, child of God.
Here are three things to do to rise again when you fall:
1. Always believe in God.
2 Chronicles 20:20 “…Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.”
Nothing, and no one except yourself, can cause you to remain in failure because the one who holds the key to your rising and establishment is God. So always believe in God no matter how many times you may fall. God will establish you, and you shall surely rise again.
2. Always be positive.
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
You should always have the mindset that anything you desire to do is possible because Christ is your strength. Even if things seem not to be working out for you now, be positive because you will rise again through Christ, who gives you strength.
3. Don’t dwell on the past.
Isaiah 43:18 (NIV) “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”
If you dwell on the past regarding how you failed, you may not move forward in life. Your past may be full of mistakes, failures and disappointments, but you must forget those former things. You may have lost valuable opportunities and relationships in the past, but the God of restoration will surely restore you, so don’t dwell on the past to prevent you from rising up again.
Precious one, always believe in God, always be positive and don’t dwell on the past. If you do these things, you will rise again anytime you fall.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, be my light and my strength in the midst of darkness to keep pressing on, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Break the Limits!

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 300 (27/10/2022)
Isaiah 54:3 “For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left, and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.”
Any time limitations are set upon the life of an individual; one becomes incapacitated in their quest to pursue their visions. It may also prevent you from adventuring your goals and realizing your future. This is why you must overcome limitations over your life and break forth on the right hand and on the left in order to maximise your potential.
Here are three ways to overcome limitations:
1. Don’t let anyone look down on you.
1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV) “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
Allowing people to look down on you will build an inferiority complex in you, which will become your limitation. Don’t be intimidated or despised by others because of your age, stature or low status in society. You are worth more in the eyes of God and so don’t also despise yourself but rather put your potential to full use and break forth.
2. Grow your faith.
1 John 5:4 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
No matter how little your faith is, you still need to grow it. Staying at the same level of faith is not enough to break and overcome certain limitations. Your victory is connected to your faith, and so the greater your faith, the greater your victory; therefore, grow your faith to overcome limitations.
3. Acquire more wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 7:19 “Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city.”
The world is constantly advancing in technology, sophisticated modules and knowledge. Your wisdom today may be obsolete tomorrow, so learn to acquire more wisdom to break and overcome limitations.
Precious one, overcome limitations in your life by growing your faith, acquiring more wisdom and not allowing anyone to look down on you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I break any limitation set over my life by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Be Thankful At All Times

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 299 (26/10/2022)
1 Chronicles 16:34 “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever.”
People, businesses, families, schools, and many industries seem to have taken a hit from the world’s economic downturn. Nevertheless, we all still have much to be thankful for the gift of life, health, family and peace in our nation. As believers, we must make it a point to walk in thanksgiving at all times. Thanksgiving is an offering so dear in the sight of God, and it is one that the simplest of us can give at all times. We owe Him thanks and appreciation for all He has done and is doing for us. Here are three reasons why we must walk in thanksgiving at all times:
1. It is good to give the Lord thanks
The Bible tells us in Psalm 92:1 (NKJV), “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High”. Not only is it necessary, but it is also good to give thanks. In other words, thanksgiving is virtuous and beneficial to the one who offers it.
2. Thanksgiving produces the peace of God
In times like this, one thing we need the most is His peace. The Holy Spirit, through Apostle Paul, said in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” The peace of God is a kind of peace that surpasses human understanding, but it is the portion of only those who give thanks to God.
3. He has given us the greatest Gift of all—His Son
Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again so that we can know God personally and spend eternity with Him. This is a reason to give thanks to God eternally. That is why Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 9:15 (NIV), “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”
Precious one, it has been a successful year in spite of the financial turbulence. Have you given God thanks for what He has done for you? Learn to walk in thanksgiving at all times, precisely in times like this.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for everything You have given me, especially the gift of eternal life through Your Son. As I walk in thanksgiving, let Your peace prevail in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Choose Prayer

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 299 (25/10/2022)
James 5:13 (NIV) “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray…”
Prayer is the first thing, second, and third thing necessary to the believer. In our hardest times, prayer is the surest way out. It is the most powerful weapon God has given the believer. Here are three reasons why we must resort to prayer:
1. Prayer provokes help from above
2. Prayer secures Angelic Intervention
When prayers go up, angels come down. When Peter was held up in prison, awaiting death, the saints prayed for Him continually (Acts 12:5), and God sent an angel to rescue him. Acts 12:11 (NKJV), And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and all the expectation of the Jewish people.”
The Bible did not say is any afflicted, let him cry, watch or complain. The Bible said to let him pray. That means anyone that is battered, tormented or depressed is expected to pray for deliverance. If you want to see yourself rise above the challenges of today, you must choose prayer and pray fervently.
Precious one, prayer is not optional for the believer in these last days. Therefore rise up and become a person of prayer.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to be a man or woman of prayer in Jesus’ name.

Keep Hope Alive

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 298 (24/10/2022)
2 Corinthians 4:8 (NKJV) “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;.”
The status of the world’s economy makes it easy to walk in despair. But as believers, walking in despair is not an option. We must learn to keep hope alive at all times. Hope means hoping when things are hopeless. Oftentimes, it is when everything is hopeless that hope begins to be a strength.
From today’s reading, we learn that to be successful, we need to keep hope alive. Here are three reasons why we must keep hope alive:
1. Hope is a source of strength
The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31 (CEB), “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength….”
In the face of challenges, hope is a surge of strength to carry on, and when we keep hope alive, we are strengthened to keep moving on.
2. Keep hope alive because no condition is permanent
If we despair, only one outcome is certain: we will never achieve our objective. But because no condition is permanent, we must keep hope alive, knowing that the current situation will definitely change. The Psalmist reminds us in Psalms 9:18 (CEB), “The hope of those who suffer won’t be lost for all time.” Therefore, keep your hope alive.
3. Hope always pays
Keeping hope alive always yields rewards. Withholding on always comes a reward. “No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame…” (Psalms 25:3 NIV)
Precious one, walk in walk and don’t be driven to despair; keep hope for victory is close by.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me strength to carry on even when it is difficult, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Put Your Trust in God

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 297 (23/10/2022)
2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV) “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
Many people around the world are going through the biggest storms of their lives. But one thing we mustn’t lose sight of is the fact that God has promised to be with us through thick and thin.
We must learn to trust God no matter what the situation is. Woodrow Kroll once said, “If God was faithful to you yesterday, you have reason to trust him for tomorrow.” Amid these challenges, why don’t you look for a reason to trust God instead of focusing on the circumstances of your situation?
God is able to give us more than we need, to the point where we would always have plenty of everything. As believers, we can trust God to keep His promises and provide for our needs.
Here are three reasons why we must put our trust in Him:
1. God has promised to satisfy the thirsty and fill the hungry with good things
The promises of God are true, and what He has said, that will He do. The Psalmist reminds us in Psalm 107:9, “For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.” Just like the hungry and thirsty person has a longing and a demand to be satisfied with food and drink, the one who receives from God is he who demands provision from Him.
2. When we seek God’s kingdom, first, He will grant our needs
God always supplies our needs when we put Him first. Apostle Luke tells us in Luke 12:31, “But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.” When we seek God and His kingdom first, He makes sure we lack nothing good.
3. God will supply our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus
God is able to supply our needs abundantly because His resources are unlimited—in fact, He supplies from His riches in glory! Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Precious one, God is more than capable of supplying our needs. Therefore, put your trust in Him no matter what the situation is.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I put my trust in You at all times, let me lack nothing good in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Fulfil the Charge

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 295 (22/10/2022)
Mark 16:15 (NKJV) And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Jesus Christ, on His departure, charged us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. And we need not take this charge lightly. Here are three reasons why we must fulfil the charge:
1. It’s a charge from our Saviour and Master, Jesus
In Matthew 28:16-20 Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” It is a priority because Christ commanded it.
2. There is only one way to salvation
There is one way to heaven: Jesus, and there is one job to do: proclaim Jesus.
Salvation is exclusive, and Jesus Christ could not have made it clearer in John 14:6 (NKJV) “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Go out today and tell the world of the only way.
3. It brings eternal reward
In fact, Apostle Paul believed that his reaching out would result in great eternal reward, as he maintained in 1 Thessalonians 2:19 (AMP), “For who is [the object of] our hope or joy or our victor’s wreath of triumphant celebration [when we stand] in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? Is it not you?” Great eternal rewards await every soul winner.
Precious one, souls are counting on you to be saved. Go out today and fulfil the charge of Jesus.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, may many come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as I respond to your charge in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bear it, Overcome it!

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 294 (21/10/2022)
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
So long as we live in this world, temptations will come our way, but there is nothing as exciting as overcoming temptations. In the scripture above, God has given us two sureties. That is, we will not be tempted beyond our limit, and there will always be a way of escape:
Even so, we must look to Jesus, who was tempted as we are, yet without sin. He left us a blueprint in the Gospels when He overcame temptation in the wilderness. Here are three things you must do to overcome temptation:
1. Know the word of God
Matthew 4:4 (NKJV) says, “…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”
Bread or food keeps the body alive. Likewise, the word of God keeps our spirit man alive. Knowing the word of God does not mean having head knowledge of the word but having it firmly fixed in our hearts through meditation. When it is firmly fixed in our hearts, it becomes a filter for our thoughts and what we see or hear from others. By the word, we reject impure thoughts or suggestions and only absorb their truth.
2. Speak the word
Matthew 4:7 (NKJV), “Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”
On all three occasions, Jesus was tempted; though He could have overcome the devil silently, He countered him by saying, ‘It is written. Anytime the enemy fires his fiery darts at us, we must quench them with the word of faith. Remember, the word of God in our mouth carries the same potency as the word in His own mouth; therefore, we must speak it.
3. Resist the Devil
Matthew 4:10 (NKJV), “Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” ”
The statement ‘away with you, Satan!’ was Jesus resisting Satan. Later in His ministry, after praising Peter for speaking the mind of God, He then resisted the enemy’s voice Peter uttered. We must take our place of authority as believers and resist the devil else he will cause us to stumble.
Precious one, you have the power to overcome all forms of temptations. To keep living the lifestyle of victory, ensure you know the word, speak it to the situation and resist the devil.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to overcome every form of temptation that will come my way, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Render Dedicated Service

Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 293 (20/10/2022)
John 12:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”
Every child of God is like a grain of seed in God’s kingdom. Until we give ourselves to committed and dedicated service in the house of God, we will not bring forth much fruit to be of any benefit.
Our service to God accomplishes His purposes on the earth. Service to God may either be done casually or with dedication. Rendering dedicated service brings pleasure to the heart of God and honour to His name. In return, He responds with commensurate rewards and blessings. Therefore, do not just serve God, do it with dedication.
Here are three ways by which we can serve God with dedication:
1. Serving through prayer.
Luke 2:37 “And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.”
Anna is a great biblical example of one who served God with prayers and fasting. Any born again believer can also serve God with fasting and prayer. The world and our nation, our churches and communities are in dire need of our intercessions for God to intervene with His saving power in the affairs of men.
2. Spreading the Gospel.
Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the believers ordination as a witness for Christ. From our immediate community to the ends of the world is the field for our soul winning. It is a service that attracts divine rewards and blessings. Therefore, we must reach out to all those around us with the message of the gospel as service to both God and man; and we must do it with all dedication.
3. Serving in the house of God.
Acts 6:2 “Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.”
There are many other things in the house of God that need to be done through the service of God’s people—ushering, singing, administration etc. Find your place among the various ministries and departments in your church and get involved.
Precious one, as a child of God, you must not disregard the place where God has set you in the Church to serve. Be planted in the house of God and serve with unwavering dedication.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me grace to serve You with all my heart, with all my soul and with all my strength, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Hold Firmly To God’s Word

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 292 (19/10/2022)
Philippians 2:15-16 (NIV) “.…Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labour in vain.”
God wants His people to shine like stars, but this can only happen when you hold firmly to His Word, according to the opening scripture. Your ability to come out victorious from any difficult situation is connected to your ability to hold firmly to His Word. Do not let anything separate you from His Word.
Here are three ways to hold firmly to the Word:
1. Follow Christian teaching.
1 Corinthians 11:2 (NLT) “I am so glad, dear friends, that you always keep me in your thoughts and you are following the Christian teaching I passed on to you.”
Follow exactly what is taught in the Word, meaning that you must not go contrary to God’s Word. This was the joy of Apostle Paul concerning the Corinthian church. If you follow the teachings of the Christian faith, you will be able to hold firmly to God’s Word.
2. Serve God and cling to Him.
Deuteronomy 10:20 (NIV) “Fear the LORD your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name.”
One way to hold firmly to God’s Word is to serve Him because the Word commands us to serve God. Join a department in your church and actively involve yourself in the activities of the church. This will keep your attention focused on Him, keeping you grounded in His Word.
3. Be vigilant.
Revelation 3:3 (NIV) “Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.”
Being vigilant means that you are always aware of yourself, examining whether your way of life and belief systems are consistent with the Word of God. There is always the propensity to backslide from the sound teachings of the Word of God because there are many other voices out there in the world. And so we must be vigilant to hold firmly to the Word in order not to depart from the faith.
Precious one, remember that as you hold firmly to God’s Word, your life will shine as the stars; therefore, follow Christian teaching, serve God and be watchful of yourself.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, strengthen me to hold firmly to Your Word no matter the situation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Keep Your Anger in Check

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 291 (18/10/2022)
Proverbs 14:29 (NKJV) “He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly.”
Elizabeth Kenny once said, “He who angers you conquers you.” Anger is an extremely powerful emotion that, if not controlled, causes severe damage: it can destroy lives, tear relationships apart, and ruin opportunities. Anger is an extremely powerful emotion which can be controlled. Here are three steps you can take to avoid the devastating consequences of uncontrolled anger:
1. Don’t sit in denial of anger
First and foremost, you have to admit it when you are angry. Irrespective of what the source of your anger may be, you’ll never overcome this negative emotion until you own up to its presence in your life. Admit you are angry because it is okay to be angry.
2. Identify the source of your anger and deal with it quickly
After you have admitted you are angry, you have to identify the source of this negative emotion. Ask yourself, “Why am I reacting like this? Why am I angry?” Once you’ve figured out where your irritation comes from, deal with it quickly. Apostle Paul recommends in Ephesians 4:26 (NIV), “‘In your anger do not sin’: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry”.
3. Learn to forgive often
Finally, when we have identified the source of our anger, if it is a person, we need to forgive him or her and move on. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:32 (NKJV), “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
Oftentimes, it is difficult to let go or forgive when we get angry, but that is the most important aspect of dealing with anger. We cannot fail to forgive since God first forgave us by offering Jesus Christ as a sacrifice.
Precious one, do not allow anger to control and destroy the good things in your life. Admit that you are angry, identify the source of your anger, and forgive, and you will avoid the devastating effects of anger.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, deliver me from the spirit of uncontrolled anger, and empower me to control my anger in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Do something with Your Hands

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 290 (17/10/2022)
2 Thessalonians 3:10 “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”
Did you know God gives the birds their food, but He doesn’t throw it into their nests? This statement tells us that even birds work hard to get their daily meals. Today’s reading of Scripture admonishes us to do something with our hands or work if we want to earn a living.
The first human God created was immediately employed. A working Christian is in the likeness of a working God, who created the universe and is still at work in our lives. Here are three reasons why we must work:
1. Working is wise use of your time
Ephesians 5:15-17 warns us that, “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” It is wise to work than to sit slothfully.
2. Working gives you the means to feed your family
In the scripture above, Apostle Paul told the church of Thessalonica that if any would not work, neither should he eat. The Bible also tells us in 1 Timothy 5:8, “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” Working is a key way to make ends meet for one’s family.
3. Working is imitating Jesus Christ
Apostle John, in John 4:34, tells us, “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” It was even said of Jesus in Mark 6:3, “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon?”. If Jesus worked, then we must also work!
Precious one, as we commit to working, God will meet us at our point of need.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I work diligently as unto You, let me lack nothing good, and bless the work of my hands, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Take Delight In the Lord

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 289 (16/10/2022)
Psalms 37:4 (NKJV) “Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
Whilst waiting for the promises of God to be fulfilled in your life, God expects you to develop and maintain an attitude of gratitude and joy by delighting yourself in Him.
Unfortunately, we find many believers praising and worshipping God only when things are going on well. We oftentimes get so obsessed with our problems and yield to despondency; the joy of the Lord dries up, and the smile wears off our faces. Instead of living in the expectancy of a miracle, we allow the spirit of depression to dominate our moods. The following are three ways you can delight in the Lord:
1. Practice praise
No matter what situation you find yourself in, you must learn to bless and praise God. The Psalmist shows us the way in Psalms 34:1: “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” When you are tempted to yield to self-pity because of your circumstance, just open your mouth and bless the name of the Lord. You may be down today, but allow praise to well up in your heart.
2. Participate in the joy of others
Instead of envying others, we must learn to celebrate with them when they have achieved something good. Scripture exhorts us to rejoice with them that rejoice (Romans 12:15a). When you hear that someone else has received a miracle or been blessed by God, share in their joy and be genuinely happy for them.
3. Promote God’s Work
While you wait for the promised blessing to manifest, spend time seeking the advancement of the Kingdom of God. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33 (NKJV), “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Turn your time of waiting into a time of serving. Occupy yourself with service in the house of God while you wait. Let His work be your delight, and He will grant you your heart’s desires.
Precious one, God requires that we delight ourselves in Him as part of the process of getting our desires to be granted.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I delight in You through practising praise, participating in the joy of others, and promoting Your work, grant me my heart’s desires, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

What is the Status of Your Foundation?

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 288 (15/10/2022)
Psalm 11:3 “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
The Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy was on the verge of collapse because the beautiful edifice sat on a foundation that was only 10 feet deep. Quite significantly, the word “Pisa” means “marshy land,” which gives some clue as to why the tower began to lean even before it was completed.
Today, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is now stable and has actually been straightened thanks slightly to restoration work. Scientists were able to keep the tower from a great fall because they discovered its weak foundation and corrected it. What is the status of your foundation in your faith, your relationships, and your career?
Just like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, we have to keep in mind that for everything we do to be successful, we must seek to build a firm foundation for it because a weak foundation will inevitably lead to a weak structure, whereas a foundation that is deep and solid will ensure the stability of the structure.
Here are three ways to build a solid foundation:
1. Check the kind of friends you keep
We need to surround ourselves with Christian friends as we seek to build a solid Christian foundation. We need to have a solid Christian community to build our foundations in Christ Jesus. God did not create us to walk this life alone, but He wishes for us to build relationships with other believers in order that we teach, build up, rebuke, and correct each other. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV), “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing”.
2. Find a mentor and accountability partner
The Bible says in James 5:16, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.” This is an important exercise. A mentor and accountability partner is a strong Christian that is older than you and that can teach you God’s word and hold you accountable. This is someone that can pour into you and guide you as you walk through life. Such a person can direct you to get the right materials for a solid foundation.
3. Spend time with God in His word and prayer
If we are going to grow deeper in our faith and have a strong foundation, we must spend time building a relationship with the Lord. This means having a quiet time with the Lord and making it a priority in our lives. In Romans 12:2 (NKJV), Scripture says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what that good and acceptable and perfect will of God is.”
Precious one, without a solid foundation failure, is certain. Start working on your solid foundation today.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me build a stronger foundation in all areas of my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your Day of Honour Will Come

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 287 (14/10/2022)
Genesis 41:40 (GNT) ” I will put you in charge of my country, and all my people will obey your orders. Your authority will be second only to mine.”
From today’s reading, we see how Joseph’s honour broke forth after years of dishonour. To be honoured is to be granted a position of respect and authority. Sometimes, our effort goes unnoticed for a while till God comes through for us, and our honour breaks forth.
Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers out of jealousy. He became the supervisor in the house of Potiphar, Pharaoh’s chief executioner. Setup by his master’s wife, Joseph ended up in prison. As relentless as he was, he kept working hard even in prison until his day of glory. The word of God tried Joseph for years till he became second to Pharaoh.
Here are three qualities we can learn from Joseph:
1. Reflect the Lord’s Presence
Genesis 39:3 (AMPC) “And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish and succeed in his hand.”
Though a slave, Joseph was successful because his life reflected the Lord’s presence. As believers, we must study, meditate and act on the word in order to manifest His presence in our lives. When the Lord is with us, our life reflects godly virtues like wisdom, excellence etc. We are the light of the world; therefore, our conduct must reflect light to God’s glory.
2. Avoid covetousness
Genesis 39:9 (AMPC) “He is not greater in this house than I am; nor has he kept anything from me except you, for you are his wife. How then can I do this great evil and sin against God?”
Today, many fall into sin by yielding to the spirit of covetousness. But Joseph avoided covetousness when his master’s wife seduced him. We must exhibit the fear of the Lord in order to overcome covetousness and avoid yielding to the evil wishes of men. By this, we will remain on track to walk in God’s plan for our lives.
3. Keep working hard in diligence
Genesis 39:22 (AMPC) “And the warden of the prison committed to Joseph’s care all the prisoners who were in the prison; and whatsoever was done there, he was in charge of it.”
Joseph had a track record of working hard. In Potiphar’s house and in prison, he prospered because of the values of hard work and diligence. To become prosperous in life, we must work hard and diligently in our human capacity as we look to God to bless the work of our hands.
Precious one, your effort will meet opportunity one of these days. Reflect the Lord’s presence, avoid covetousness and work hard in diligence; in no time, your honour will break forth.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to work hard in diligence, and bless the work of my hands, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Learn to Number Your Days

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 286 (13/10/2022)
Psalms 90:12 “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”
Life is full of uncertainties and is like a mist which appears for a little while and then vanishes (James 4:14). Because of this, each day you live must be numbered and taken seriously so that you seek to live it wisely.
No one has control over his/her future, but only God knows what will happen to anyone at any time and moments we live-Proverbs 27:1.
As you seek to live each day to the fullest, not knowing what will come your way (Proverbs 27:1), you must look to God, who can teach you how to live each day of your life by applying your heart to wisdom.
Here are three things to do in order to number your days:
1. Have a plan for each day of your life
Exodus 20:11 “For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”
God used six days to create the world and everything within it, and on the seventh day, He rested. Each day was thoughtfully planned, and whatever He planned for each day, He performed. And this is how God expects us to live. Have a goal for the week or month and develop a plan of action for each day towards the goal.
2. See each day as an opportunity to learn.
Ephesians 5:16 (NIV) “Making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
Things may not favour you as expected because of the times we live in. However, in the midst of that, you must see each day as an opportunity to learn and to do something in life. Though Covid-19 ravaged the world, others saw it as an opportunity to produce vaccines to earn a living from it. Number your days by seeing each day as an opportunity to learn in life, whether you are faced with challenges or not.
3. Embrace each day with joy and gladness
Psalms 118:24 “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Every day is a special day because God made it so. Never fear or worry about each day because it will prevent you from fulfilling whatever you have planned and your purpose for that day. Rather embrace each day with joy and gladness and trust that the One who gave you a day will see you through successfully.
Precious one, number your days by having a plan for each day of your life. See each day as an opportunity to learn in life and also embrace each day with joy and gladness.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days so that I may apply my heart unto wisdom, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Approach God Confidently

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 285 (12/10/2022)
Hebrews 4:16 “Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Confidence really matters a lot when it comes to approaching God in prayer. Hence, every believer needs to learn how to approach God confidently in prayer. This is because it helps one obtain mercy from God and also find grace to help in times of need, as indicated in the opening scripture. Again, the scripture clearly shows that your confidence before God will yield results with great rewards for you. So never allow anything to hold you back but instead, approach God with confidence when you pray.
Here are three things to help you approach God confidently:
1. Maintain a consistent prayer life.
Genesis 18:22,27 (NIV) “The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the LORD. Then Abraham spoke up again: “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes,”
Confidence is built when we remain in unbroken fellowship with God. Consistency in our prayer life is key to having boldness and confidence before God. Abraham remained standing before the Lord, and he gained the boldness to negotiate with God for the lives of his relatives. Never allow anything to distract you and break your walk and fellowship with God.
  1. Be pure in heart with clean hands.
Genesis 3:8-10 (NLT) “Toward evening they heard the Lord God walking about in the garden, so they hid themselves among the trees. The Lord God called to Adam, “Where are you?” He replied, “I heard you, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”
Adam and Eve were afraid and hid from God because of sin. Sin destroys our confidence before God. Get rid of and repent from any unconfessed sin and become pure in heart, having clean hands through the blood of Jesus. This will help you approach God confidently. It will also help you overcome when the devil accuses and condemns you when standing before God in prayer.
3. Have faith in God.
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Praying to God in faith requires that we have total confidence in Him and in unseen realities. Without faith, you will not be able to confidently hold on to what you claim you believe when the physical evidence of your circumstances contradicts the promises of God. Therefore, build your faith on the knowledge of God’s Word so that your confidence in prayer towards God will significantly increase.
Precious one, remember to maintain a consistent prayer life, to stay away from sin and to have strong faith in God. When you observe these things, it will help you to approach God confidently.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask that Your grace and mercy will help me restore my confidence before You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Get Answers to Your Prayers

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 284 (11/10/2022)
James 5:18 (NKJV) “And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.”
Learning to pray effectively—like the prophet Elijah—is one of the most important things a believer can ever do in his Christian walk.
Every Christian can get answers to their prayers like Prophet Elijah only if they pray according to biblical principles. However, it is clear that, even though a lot of Christians pray, they hardly get the desired results because they pray amiss.
Here are three steps to getting your prayers answered:
1. Be specific in your prayers
The number one key to receiving answers to your prayers is to decide what you want from God. God wants us to be specific. In Mark 10:51 (NKJV), the Bible tells us, “So Jesus answered and said to him, ‘What do you want Me to do for you?’ The blind man said to Him, ‘Rabboni that I may receive my sight.’” So many times, we are indefinite in our praying, like Blind Bartimaeus, but God wants us to be specific in our praying.
2. Stand on God’s promises when you pray
After deciding and being definite in what you want God to do for you, you need to find a scripture or scriptures that promise you whatever it is you want.
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (2 Corinthians 1:20, NKJV). When we pray according to His Word (His promises), we are 101% assured of answered prayer.
3. Ask God for what you want confidently
When we are specific in what we want, and we have a scriptural backing, we must go ahead and ask God for things we want, believing that we will receive them. Jesus said in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” So, ask God for things you need and want, and believe in them. In other words, when you pray, believe you will receive exactly what you have asked for.
Precious one, after today, you will see results in prayer as you apply these steps to answered prayer. Determine to get the principles into your heart so you can practice them in your private prayer life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I pray according to Your principles, let me experience constant answers to prayer, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Develop Yourself Spiritually

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 283 (10/10/2022)
Galatians 5:16-17 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
As believers, there is a spiritual life we are called to live, and there is a fleshly old life we have to abandon because in Christ, the old life is passed away, and a new life has come.
We have to understand that all of God’s investment, graces, empowerment and blessings, through the Cross of Calvary, have been made into our spiritual life; therefore, with fear and trembling, we must work out our salvation by building up our spiritual components to living the life of the Spirit.
Here are three spiritual aspects of our spirit to develop:
1. Walking in love.
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.”
The love of God is spiritual in origin and in nature because God is love, and God is Spirit. Walking in love—doing your neighbour no wrong, being kind, being forgiving—is the expression of spiritual life. You may have been hurt and ill-treated, but the evil you are wishing or planning in retaliation is of the old flesh; rather, develop the fruit of Love.
2. Being joyful always.
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.”
The Bible says that the joy of the Lord is our strength, and again it says, “Now the Lord is that Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:17) Thus, joy is of the Spirit. So to live a spiritual life, Apostle Paul admonished, “Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice”. If you can maintain your joy in the Lord—not in circumstances—and still keep it when circumstances turn bad, that is proof of your spiritual life. Therefore, develop the fruit of Joy.
3. Having the peace of God.
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.”
Are you constantly worrying and troubled by issues and circumstances? Are you always concerned about things turning out badly? You need to let the peace of God rule in your heart. God’s peace makes you sleep soundly in the storm and dance in the fire. The peace of God informs you that you are not alone and that all things will work for your good. And so develop the fruit of Peace.
Precious one, the newness of life we have received in Christ must be lived from our inside, our spirits, and so use every opportunity to gradually develop the fruit of love, joy and peace in your heart.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, help me grow in the fruit of love, joy and peace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Are You a Lover of God?

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 282 (09/10/2022)
1 Corinthians 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
The good things of God are prepared for only those who love Him. Loving God and one’s neighbour as himself sums up all the ten commandments and any moral law that has ever been given (Romans 10:13). Although we often profess to love God, is there any proof of that?
Here are three ways to prove our love for God:
1. Obeying the commandments of God
The Bible says in John 14:21 (NIV), “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
God loves everybody, but when you obey His commandments, He loves you at another level and will also manifest Himself more fully to you.
2. Not loving the world
Apostle John tells us in 1 John 2:15-17 (NIV), “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world— the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” We, therefore, cannot say we love God and love the world at the same time.
3. Serving God by meeting the needs of His people We show love for God by loving and serving His people. Scripture shows us in 1 John 3:17 (NIV), “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?”
Precious one, the blessing of God is reserved for those who love Him. Position yourself for such blessings by obeying His commandments, not loving the world, and serving His people.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for first loving me. As I love You with everything, manifest Yourself to me more fully, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Show Inward Tenacity

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 281 (08/10/2022)
Romans 12:11-12 “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;.”
Everybody desires to be successful in life, but evidently, not everyone achieves success. From history, we learn that people who make it are those who show inward tenacity even though they may be tired. Showing inward tenacity is to stay motivated despite the challenges at hand.
You will gain the success you desire if you stay motivated and don’t quit.
Here are three ways to show inward tenacity:
1. Endure hardship
In 2 Timothy 2:3 (NASB), Apostle Paul admonishes Timothy to endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. The fact that you have some challenges in your marriage, education, career, etc., is not an excuse for giving up. The amount of pain you can endure without crumbling determines the height you can attain in life.
2. Take it one step at a time
Learn to break down your tasks or goals into phases and workable units. Every time you complete a unit of the task, it gives you a sense of achievement and keeps you motivated, no matter how small it is.
3. Expect and prepare for challenges
The start of every new project, job or even marriage comes with a high level of excitement which acts as the fuel of motivation. However, when we encounter obstacles or challenges, we usually get discouraged and may think of quitting. Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 16:13, “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong”. Only those who prepare ahead of time will be left standing after the storm of challenges has passed.
Precious one, quitters never win, and winners never quit. Whatever challenge you’re facing will not overcome you if you don’t quit. Therefore, show inward tenacity!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, enable me to stay motivated in times of hardship, and help me to endure hardship like a good soldier of Christ in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pursue God’s Plan For Your Life

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 280 (07/10/2022)
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
God has a wonderful plan for your life, and His plan is better than ever imagined. As you decide to pursue God’s plan and purpose for your life, His blessing, provision, protection, and strength will come into play in your life in great measure.
Though God has great plans for us, those plans and purposes are not automatic to happen; we have a role to play. Jesus taught us to pray that “thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven”. This means we must cooperate with God to bring His plan into manifestation in our lives.
Here are three things to do to follow God’s plan for your life:
1. Pray to seek God’s plan for your life.
Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
If you are not sure of what God’s plan and purpose are for your life, then spend time in prayer to seek the Lord to show you. He has promised to show you great and mighty things about your destiny that is unknown to you and others. As you seek, you shall find.
2. Live a Spirit-filled life.
Ephesians 5:17-18 “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And…be filled with the Spirit.”
It is only the Spirit of God who can lead us into the plan of God for our lives. Therefore, we must live Spirit-filled lives to be led by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit leads us by remaining in fellowship with God through prayer, the Word, and in praising and worshipping God for His wonderful plan for you. Church fellowship also helps in maintaining a Spirit-filled life.
3. Yield willingly to God’s plan.
Matthew 26:39 “And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”
We may have our own personal ambitions, but if we want to see God’s plan come to pass, we must be ready to dedicate and consecrate ourselves to God wholly. We must repeatedly pray to consecrate ourselves to God, that is, to tell God that we are fully yielded to Him and His plan.
Precious one, know that as every one of us yields to God’s plan and purpose for our lives, the world will see and witness more of the glory of God on earth.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I yield completely to Your plan and purpose for my life; let Your will be done in my life as it is in heaven, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Keep Your Faith Active

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 279 (06/10/2022)
Luke 8:24-25 “And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And he said unto them, Where is your faith?”
In the midst of all the goodness of life, life is also full of various degrees of challenges and opportunities that can turn one’s life into a string of terrible experiences or outcomes. However, with the power of faith we can subdue and overcome such circumstances.
According to the opening scripture, you could say that the disciples of Jesus encountered a storm as they journeyed through life and the situation threatened their lives. As they cried out to God for a solution, Jesus asked them a simple but profound question, “Where is your faith?”
This is why we must strive to always keep our faith; otherwise, we’ll be constantly defeated because of the absence of our faith.
Here are three ways to ensure that your faith is always active:
1. Feed your faith constantly.
Romans 10:17 (NIV) “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”
For faith to always be present in our hearts, we must constantly feed our faith by hearing messages that build and strengthen our faith. Focus on scriptures or Bible passages that talk about faith and meditate on them. Do this regularly to keep your faith active and ready for the storms of life.
2. Always think the right thoughts.
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
What you believe is basically what you are thinking. And what you are always thinking about produces its own kind of faith. If you are always thinking of your weakness, inability, sickness, lack or poverty, you will have more faith in it. Begin to think about yourself having blessings, wealth, strength, favour and great opportunities; then, your faith will work in that direction.
3. Keep speaking positive and faith-filled words.
2 Corinthians 4:13 “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe and therefore speak.”
Speaking releases faith. Speaking is faith in action. If you don’t speak out about the things you claim you believe, your faith is inactive and will soon die. Keep talking about having blessings, wealth, strength, favour and great opportunities; then your active faith will change your current situation to bring them to pass.
Precious one, remember that without faith, you cannot move the mountains of life and calm the storms of life. So work on your faith and strive to keep it always with you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask for strength to build and increase the measure of faith You have given me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Monitor Your Health

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 278 (05/10/2022)
1 Corinthians 11:28 “But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.”
God has made each of us stewards of the body He has given us. Therefore we must be responsible to take good care of our bodies and health. Because of increased illnesses and diseases as a result of modern lifestyle and diet, it has become necessary to monitor one’s health regularly to keep healthy.
Monitoring or examining your health means monitoring yourself to identify changes in your health status. It involves the assessment of physical, functional and cognitive status to detect changes that may indicate health problems and to facilitate appropriate intervention to deal with the likes of fever, hypertension, diabetes and other conditions.
Here are three ways of monitoring your health:
1. Use common monitoring devices
There are some things that can be detected by using some simple monitoring devices. There are wearable devices called activity trackers that monitor a person’s daily routine, helping them understand how daily activities affect their health and symptoms. Activity trackers can track steps and heart rate among other things. Some very common activity trackers are Fitbits or apple watches.
2. Learn about signs of illnesses.
1 Samuel 10:7 “And let it be when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.”
In monitoring our health, it is important to learn about the signs of common sicknesses and diseases that many suffer from so that when we notice them in our bodies, we can take the necessary steps early to medically attend to them or to readjust our lifestyle.
3. Be disciplined to follow health advice.
2 Peter 1:10 “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.”
Just as there are spiritual advice or instructions to keep us safe, there are also natural and practical health instructions that will keep us healthy. Unfortunately, without discipline, people who know what is right, even doctors, do not follow health advice and live carelessly. Now is the time to take control of your body and live a disciplined, healthy life.
Precious one, it is essential to monitor your health to stay healthy and to prevent premature death.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask for wisdom to monitor my health and the discipline to stay healthy, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Rescue the Perishing

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 277 (04/10/2022)
Luke 19:10 “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Jesus came to seek and save the lost. So should we. The rate at which souls are perishing must be taken to heart by every believer. You must not forget that when you “Delight thyself also in the LORD”, “he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Therefore, never sit unconcerned about the things of God. Our Heavenly Father demands that we work for Him. And the work requires that we depopulate hell to populate heaven.
Child of God, you are the one God is looking for to carry out this divine mandate, assignment and business. Remember that souls are perishing, and begin to engage yourself in this work vigorously.
Here are three ways to save perishing souls:
1. Pull them out.
Jude 1:23 “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”
When a building is on fire, there are firefighters who are trained and equipped to run into the building to rescue victims.
Likewise, every believer must be ready to step into the enemy’s territory to pull out sinners from hell. And as we boldly march forward in the power of the gospel, the gates of hell shall not prevail to keep the sinners in captivity.
2. Dissuade them from their wrong ways.
Ezekiel 3:18 (NIV) “When I say to a wicked person, ’You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.”
Every believer has been given the message of reconciliation to turn people away from their sins unto God. Thus, with the knowledge of God’s word, we must warn people of the danger of continuing in their sinful ways and persuade them to receive the gift of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
3. Intercede for them in prayer.
Romans 10:1 “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved.”
It’s our duty as believers to pray for perishing souls to be saved. You must intercede for them that the Holy Spirit will convict them of sin and come into the saving knowledge of Christ.
Precious one, souls are perishing who need rescuing, so pull them out of the fire, speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways and intercede for them in prayer.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask for the grace and strength to evangelize effectively, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Use the Name of Jesus Part 2

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
 Day 276 (03/10/2022)
Philippians 2:9-10 (NKJV) “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…”
When Jesus completed His earthly ministry, as He departed to be with the Father, He gave His Church two main things to take His place on the earth: His Name and the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the most preeminent person on the earth and in the Church today. However, even He was sent in the name of Jesus (John 14:26). This shows how preeminent the name of Jesus is and must be in our lives.
Here are three ways the Church must use the name of Jesus:
  1. Preach the Name.
Acts 8:12 (NKJV) “But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.”
Many pseudo-Christian groups do not preach Jesus or in His name, but as true believers, we are ordained to preach the truth. It is preaching about the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ that brings salvation and deliverance to people. There will be no power in our ministry and message without the Name.
  1. Cast out demons.
Acts 16:18 (NKJV) “And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour.”
Our ministry as believers involves the casting out of devils afflicting our lives, families and others. Know that behind every evil condition is a spirit, but when we have a revelation of the name of Jesus, we wield the authority to overcome these unseen forces.
  1. Heal the sick.
Acts 3:6 (NKJV) “Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” “
We have the power in the name of Jesus to command the healing of diseases since everything bows to His name. To be able to exercise that power in His name effectively, we must build up faith in His name through studying the Word and engaging in regular prayer and fasting.
Precious one, believe that Jesus has given you authority to minister in His name; therefore, preach the Name, heal the sick and cast out demons.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to minister the Word in boldness to the lost and heal the sick, and cause signs and wonders to follow me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Use the Name of Jesus

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
 Day 275 (02/10/2022)
Philippians 2:9-10 (NKJV) “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…”
A name is a word or phrase by which a person, place or thing is called. It also refers to the reputation of a person or thing. One reason why names were given in the Scriptures was to express essence; that is, to reveal the true nature or character of a thing.
The Bible tells us how Jesus received the greatest name as He humbled Himself by taking the form of man even though He was equal with God. He stripped Himself of all divine privileges to redeem mankind from sin and its consequences. By His actions, He was exalted by God, earning a name backed by heaven’s authority.
Here are three ways we can apply the name of Jesus:
  1. *Gathering together in His name.*
1 Corinthians 5:4 (NKJV) “In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
As believers, when we meet for worship, our gathering must be the name of the Lord and the Lord Himself will be in our midst with power. In these times, gathering in auditoriums, homes, via mainstream and social media in His name will help us encourage each other to remain steadfast in the faith.
  1. *Giving thanks to God in His name.*
Ephesians 5:20 (NKJV) “Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Thanksgiving is very important, it is expressing gratitude to the Father. Neglecting to give thanks is being proud and ungrateful. It must always be done in the name of our Lord Jesus, who is the only way to the Father. We must be thankful for the gift of life, good health, divine provisions and all things.
  1. *Making your request to God in His name*.
John 16:24 (NKJV) “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive that your joy may be full.”
Jesus Christ has bestowed upon us His name to use in making our request to God so that we may be accepted before the Father. God is good and wants to see His children possess everything He has promised in His word. He will honour our requests provided they are made by faith in Jesus’ name.
Precious one, as joint heirs with Christ, we must apply His name in our gatherings, in making our requests and in thanksgivings to God so that we can experience the fullness of blessing the name bestows.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the precious and exalted name of the Lord by which I have favour before You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Live By the Word of God

By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare
Day 274 (01/10/2022)
2 Corinthians 5:7(NKJV) “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
The story is told of an old man who was wandering in the desert looking for water. He approached an old shack, and on the porch area, he found a water pump. Next to the water pump, he saw a one-gallon jug. A note on the jug said, “Use all the water to prime the pump.” The man’s instincts said to drink the water and not trust the pump. Nevertheless, he poured the water into the pump and began pumping until an abundance of cool water came to the top.
The Bible is like the note on that water jug. Sometimes the instructions contained in the Bible do not make sense to us, but it is always right. As believers, we must learn to do as the Bible says and not by what we see. Living by faith means living by the word or simply doing the word. When we live by the word, we live by faith and not by sight.
Here are three benefits of living by the word of God and not by what we see:
Faith brings answers to prayer
The Bible tells us in Mark 11:24 (NKJV), “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” It is one thing to pray and another to pray and get results. Many people pray a lot and yet do not receive answers because one ingredient is missing—faith. Faith, therefore, brings answers to prayer.
 Faith makes our ministry effective.
Faith is the foundation upon which our Christian experience stands. Our ministry to God, the Church, and the world without faith would be ineffective since faith is required to please God in the first place (Hebrews 11:6).
Faith makes your sacrifice excellent.
Hebrews 11:4 tells us, “By faith, Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it, he being dead yet speaketh.” Since God is moved by faith, it is faith that would cause our sacrifice to be pleasing to Him and thus more excellent than a mere sacrifice.
Precious one, live by faith and not by sight, for in faith, our prayers are answered, our ministry becomes effective, and our sacrifice becomes more excellent.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I learn to live by Your word and not by sight, let me experience the wonders of Your power in my life, in Jesus’ name, amen.
