MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDING BISHOP ON COVID-19

Calvary Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus said in Matthew 24:7-8, “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences [a contagious or infectious epidemic disease that is virulent and devastating], and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Over the years the world has gone through lots of pestilences and epidemics, including Anthrax in 2001, SARS, the Bird Flu, and Ebola in the years that followed, and now the novel Coronavirus pandemic, which we are currently witnessing.
On the 15th of March, 2020, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo announced emergency measures to arrest the spread of the Coronavirus.
These measures will have an effect on our lives as Ghanaians, including church services and other public gatherings.
Perez Chapel International fully embraces the President’s directives and is asking all its branches in Ghana to fully comply with these directives.
In the meantime, let us take note of the following:
1. Beginning from tomorrow Tuesday, 17th March 2020, till the President’s directive is reviewed, we will conduct all our worship services on Precious TV (PTV) and on my social media platforms (Facebook and YouTube: Bishop Charles Agyinasare).
I therefore encourage all members of Perez Chapel International, its affiliates and the General public to like or subscribe to my page in order to receive notifications on live services.
2. All information and announcements will be communicated through our website, text messages and other platforms.
3. During these trying times, I encourage you to continue to take care of each other as we have been doing since the beginning of the year by calling one another and encouraging each other.
4. In the meantime, let us take good care of ourselves by making sure we: wash our hands regularly with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub, cover our noses and mouths when coughing and sneezing with tissue, avoid close contact with anyone with a cold or flu-like symptoms, keep the recommended social distance from people, and report to the nearest health facility when we see symptoms of sneezing, coughing, fever and breathlessness.
5. Also, let us ensure to get information from the right sources in order to stay hopeful and prepared to avoid the spread of the virus.

6. Let us live by faith and not in fear.
2 Tim. 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
1 John 4:18 also tells us that “…fear has torment.”
7. During this period do not allow yourself to be tormented in any way.
This means you must get the right information from official sources like, The World
Health Organization (WHO), Ministry of Information, and the Ministry of Health’s website.
8. Precious one be reminded that there’s no benefit in fear.
Job 3:25 says, “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I
was afraid of is come unto me.”
God in His wisdom gave us 365 “fear not’s” in Scripture.
This means that, for every day of your life, there is a “fear not” to take you through.
9. Let us keep praying. Our God is a Deliverer and a Healer.
As you pray, do pray for your family, the nation Ghana, and the nations of the world.
He will surely take us through because we dwell under the shadow of the Almighty
(Psalm 91). We shall overcome because, this, too, shall pass in Jesus’ name.

Signed
Bishop Charles Agyinasare DSS, DTh BN
