Sunday Sermon: Word of Knowledge Apostle Dr Opoku Onyinah – President, Ghana Pentecostal & Charismatic Council

God speaks to every generation. He speaks to righteous and non-righteous people alike.
In the Old Testament (old era), God spoke to the prophets. They received revelations.

In the new era, the minister of the gospel is Jesus Christ. The Lord is the revelation Himself, as He is the living word.

We are in the era of the apostles, which is a combination of the old era and the new era. In this era, the person who ministers the word is very important. The Lord deals with the person, so as to filter pollution.

The prophet is the mouthpiece of God, who hears from God and delivers it to the people. Serving is a very important aspect of being a prophet.

Samuel served Eli. He saw God in the presence of Eli & heard God’s voice through the voice of Eli. When someone mentors you, you will see God in the presence of the person. Mentorship is very important. At times, when God wants to speak to you, you will see your mentor in your dream speaking to & encouraging you.
I Samuel 3:9-10

Once God speaks to you, He opens doors and creates opportunities for you.

Gifts that come together to make a prophet:
(These gifts coming together make the prophet himself a gift)

Some prophets in the bible are Miriam & Aaron, Samuel, Jacob, Daniel, Micah, Elijah, Jeremiah

WORD OF KNOWLEDGE
1 Corinthians 12:8
Knowledge comes from the word know.
Having the word of knowledge is the ability to know truth that is hidden.

The information is not received through natural mediums like studying or research. The Lord drops it into the heart of His servants. It can come through visions, dreams or be deposited into your inner being. The purpose of the gift isn’t for public display.

God doesn’t reveal everything unto us. Elisha was gifted with the word of knowledge.
2 Kings 8:7-15(ESV)
Elisha gave Hazel the full prophecy and Hazel killed for the fulfilment of the word. You are not meant to say everything the Lord reveals unto you, but in all things, exercise wisdom and discernment. Also, be careful about what you hear & receive.

**One of the purposes of the gift of word of knowledge is for you to fulfil part of the plan of the Kingdom of God.
God has different callings. Stay in the anointing and calling that God has given to you.

•inward voice

A prophet must be mature in thinking and mature in communication. In this season of the supernatural, may the word of knowledge and word of wisdom drop into your spirit, so you will know the hidden truths of God and become a vessel for His use!
